Orc Species Details
Orcs trace their creation to Gruumsh, a powerful god who roamed the wide open spaces of the Material Plane. Gruumsh equipped his children with gifts to help them wander great plains, vast caverns, and churning seas and to face the monsters that lurk there. Even when they turn their devotion to other gods, orcs retain Gruumsh’s gifts: endurance, determination, and the ability to see in darkness.
Orcs are, on average, tall and broad. They have gray skin, ears that are sharply pointed, and prominent lower canines that resemble small tusks. Orc youths on some worlds are told about their ancestors’ great travels and travails. Inspired by those tales, many of those orcs wonder when Gruumsh will call on them to match the heroic deeds of old and if they will prove worthy of his favor. Other orcs are happy to leave old tales in the past and find their own way.

Posted Feb 19, 2026Sorry this is sooooo lame. Tolkien is rolling in his grave lol. They should created a new pansy orc with sprinkles and butter cups. Leave the original 50 year old established monster alone! There was no reason they could not create a new fairy monster instead of nerfing Orcs.

Posted May 7, 2026You could be in a fight with an orc, you could be grabbing beer with an orc, you could be hunting with an orc, or you could be hunted by an orc. The one thing you can never be with an orc is lost.
(Flavor text to go with the new theming)

Posted Jun 4, 2026Sorry, I'm still sorta new to this- Do all races get a bonus of +2 and +1 to whatever stats you choose, which isn't stated here cause it's implied, or is that only true when it's actually stated to be so?

Posted Jun 5, 2026Fair enough though I do think it'd fit them especially when separating them from half orcs by having a stockier body especially with the temp hp though I understand technically in that certain book half orcs are no longer their own species
Thank you for your thoughts

Posted Jul 21, 2026Here's a weird take that maybe no one will agree with. We should have MORE lineages rather than less lineages. All species should have as many lineages as the gnome at least. Creating my own website for my world and I am putting lineages back in like Mountain and Hill Dwarf (why were these removed?) and I even made aasimar lineages and orc lineages. Its jsut too bad I have to make them myself in DDB but at least yu can make them unlike classes. I want to make my shaman class dangit!
Over all I think the orc art looks lame but most modern D&D art has nothing on Elmore and Easley but alas those eras are gone. The orc mechanics I think are fine. I think this weird mentality that half-orcs and half-elves are somehow problematic is stupid but that's just me. I even like dworcs (because dwarves will do anything when they are drunk) ;)
