Homebrew Yuan-ti Impure (Tainted One) Species Details
Among the Yuan-ti castes you are the lowest of the low; the product of an unsuitable mate or raised outside Yuan-ti culture. You have emotions, cannot speak with snakes and if you can cast spells, they are other than those normally associated with Yuan-ti spell-casting abilities. Some Purebloods may consider you Yuan-ti, but most consider you meat.

Tainted One
Among the Impure, the Tainted one is most likely to survive to adulthood within Yuan-ti society, but once their true nature is revealed, they are marked for immediate execution.
Outwardly they are indistinguishable from purebloods, but their magic isn't serpentine in nature. It is assumed that the bloodline has been tainted with the blood of Aasimar due to the healing nature of the spells they exhibit, but this conclusion is unsupported.

Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age
Impure mature at the same rate as humans and have lifespans similar in length to theirs.
Alignment
Impure can be of any alignment, but go to great lengths to conceal any non-evil behaviors in the presence of other Yuan-ti. Tainted Ones tend towards good, but if raised in Yuan-ti society they have learned to conceal this tendency well.
Size
Impure match humans in average size and weight. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Tainted One Spellcasting
You know the spare the dying
cantrip. You can cast healing word an unlimited number of times with this trait, targeting anyone other than yourself. Starting at 3rd level, you can also cast lesser restoration with this trait. Once you cast it, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.Magic Resistance
You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Poison Immunity
You are immune to poison damage and the poisoned condition.
Languages
If you were raised by Yuan-ti, you can speak, read, and write Common, Abyssal, and Draconic. Otherwise you know Common and two other languages.
