If you are holding one of these crystals while casting Sending you can replace the verbal message with the image.

Casting this spell again while holding an already formed crystal allows you to animate the image to play 5 seconds before the image was taken to 5 seconds after the image was taken.
This playback duration increases by 5 seconds both ways at 5th level (10 seconds), 11th level (15 seconds), and 17th level (20 seconds).
