You release three beams of magical energy from your eye, creating a variety of magical effects. For each beam roll a d8, which creates an effect as described below. Then choose a target in range for each beam, who must make a dexterity save, suffering the appropriate effect if they fail.
Ray effect table
- The target is charmed until the start of your next turn.
- The target takes 3d8 necrotic damage
- The target takes 2d8 necrotic damage, and cannot regain hit points until the start of your next turn.
- The target is frightened until the start of your next turn.
- The target is paralyzed until the start of your next turn.
- The target is unconscious until the start of your next turn.
- The targets speed is reduced by 10ft for one minute.
- The target takes 2d8 force damage and is knocked prone
At higher levels
When cast with 3rd level or higher spell slot, this spell produces an additional ray for each level the spell slot is above 2nd.
