A cold, bluish ribbon of negative energy formed into runic language streaks to a point you choose within range and then bubbles forth into a manifestation of the Shadowfell. Magical darkness spreads from a point you choose within range to fill a 20-foot-radius sphere for the duration. The darkness spreads around corners. A creature with darkvision can’t see through this darkness, and non-magical light can’t illuminate it. If any of this spell’s area overlaps with an area of light created by a spell of 2nd level or lower, the spell that created the light is dispelled.
Watchers In The Dark. Each creature that begins its turn or enters the darkness must make a Wisdom saving throw. A creature takes 4d4 cold damage and 4d4 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. It kills all mundane vegetation in the area and rots food and drink that isn't stored or carried.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 2d4 of each damage type for each slot level above 3rd.
