Description
After sacrificing a portion of your own health, as listed in the material components, you begin summoning the power of life and fire. You start the process of heating your hands to resonate with the temperature of the target's soul. Slowly and over the course of ten minutes, you bring a living creature with at least one hit point up to half of their maximum health (at a rate of [1d4 + spell-casting modifier] per minute). The target creature and the caster must be out of combat and the target must be in a relaxed and comfortable position.
(Intended Use: Scaling of this spell is based off of your level in the class with which you have the most levels.)
Effect
The spell changes as the character gains more experience to wield it. Each of the abilities has makes for its own name and change alongside character progression. Triggering the spell triggers all of the abilities found within it according to character level.
Class/Character Level One:
At level one, the healing rate is [1d4 + spell-casting modifier] per minute. This is only up to half of their maximum hit points.
Class/Character Level Five:
At level five, the healing rate improves to [2d4 + (spell-casting modifier or medicine skill modifier)] per minute. This still is only up to half of their maximum hit points.
Class/Character Level Eleven:
At level five the healing rate improves to [3d4 + (spell-casting modifier AND medicine skill modifier)] per minute. This still is only up to half of their maximum hit points.
After ten minutes of the spell being active, you can cast lesser restoration once on your current target.
Lesser Restoration Description:
You touch a creature and can end either one disease or one condition afflicting it. The condition can be blinded, deafened, paralyzed, or poisoned.
Class/Character Level Seventeen:
At level five the healing rate improves to [4d4 + (spell-casting modifier AND medicine skill modifier)] per minute. This still is only up to half of their maximum hit points. (These rolls have advantage now.)
After ten minutes of the spell being active, you can now effectively cast lesser or greater restoration once on your current target.
Lesser Restoration Description:
You touch a creature and can end either one disease or one condition afflicting it. The condition can be blinded, deafened, paralyzed, or poisoned.
Greater Restoration Description:
You imbue a creature you touch with positive energy to undo a debilitating effect. You can reduce the target's exhaustion level by one, or end one of the following effects on the target:
- One effect that charmed or petrified the target.
- One curse, including the target's attunement to a cursed magic item.
- Any reduction to one of the target's ability scores.
- One effect reducing the target's hit point maximum.
* - (A small portion of the caster's blood drawn by their own hand, which is consumed by the spell. Hit point cost is not from temporary and equals twice the caster's character level.)
