The caster whistles loudly causing two Dire Wolves made of lightning to spring forth and rush towards at least one target within range. The wolves do not need to travel in a straight line and may go over or around objects and obstacles and fit through gaps of at least an inch. When the wolves reach their target, they run directly through them, dissipating and leaving a crippling electrical blast in their wake.
A target must make a Dexterity saving throw when hit by a wolf. The target takes 10d8 lightning damage on a failed save and is knocked prone, or half as much damage on a successful one. The caster can direct both wolves to the same target, but the damage does not stack. However, the Dexterity save is made at disadvantage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, add 1d8 damage per wolf for every spell slot above 5th level.
