 Agreed, I think it would work well as a 6th-level spell, with an extra 100 feet of YEET power per extra level of the spell above 6th (or an increase to the HP affected, but that isn't as fun). That way the max YEEEEET distance would be 500 feet. See ya later BBEG!

If the target is at terminal velocity when they are elevated, why does the target take more damage on the downward impact? If terminal velocity does 10d6 damage, then falling down shouldn't do anymore than 10d6 damage since both are the same speed.

 Logically, yes, but fall damage in dnd is completely unrelated to speed, only the distance fallen. (1d6 per 10 feet, maximum of 20d6)
