You call forth a draconic spirit.  It manifests in an occupied space that you can see within range.  This corporeal form uses the Draconic Spirit stat block.  When you cast this spell, choose a dragon type:  Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Poison.  The creature resembles a dragon of that kind.  You can also determine the color of the dragon and whether the dragon is metallic or chromatic, these are purely flavor decisions, they have no effect on the game statistics.  The creature disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends.  

The creature is an ally to you and your companions.  In combat, the creature shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours.  It obeys your verbal commands (no action required by you).  If you don't issue any, it takes the Dodge action and uses its move to avoid danger. 

At Higher Levels.  When you cast this spell using a 6th level spell slot or higher, use the higher level wherever the spell's level appears in the stat block.

Damage Immunities:  acid (acid only), cold (cold only), fire (fire only), lightning (lightning only), poison (poison only)

 Amphibious.  The dragon can breathe both air and water.    


Actions

 

Multiattack.  The dragon makes a number of attacks equal to half this spell's level (rounded down).

Bite.  Melee Weapon Attack:  your spell attack modifier to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.  Hit:  (1d10 + 3 + the spell's level) piercing damage plus (1d6) acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage.

Claw.  Melee Weapon Attack:  your spell attack modifier to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.  Hit:  (1d8 + 3 + the spell's level) slashing damage.  

Breath Weapon Cone (Recharge 6) (Fire, Cold, or Poison Only).  The dragon exhales a blast of destructive energy in a 15 ft. cone originating from itself.  Each creature within the cone must make a Dexterity Saving Throw (fire) or Constitution Saving Throw (cold or poison), against your spell save DC, taking (3d6 + 1d6 for each spell level above 5th) fire, cold, or poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.  

Breath Weapon Line (Recharge 6) (Acid or Lightning Only).  The dragon exhales a blast of destructive energy in a line 30 ft. long and 5 ft. wide originating from itself.  Each creature within the line must make a Dexterity Saving Throw against your spell save DC, taking (3d6 + 1d6 for each spell level above 5th) acid or lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.  

Draconic Orb.  Ranged Weapon Attack:  your spell modifier to hit, range 120 ft., one target.  Hit:  (2d6 + 3 + the spell's level) acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage.
