Each time you hit a creature with a ranged or melee weapon attack, this spell creates arcs of lightning from your ranged/melee weapon or ammunition. In addition to the normal effect of the attack, the target of the attack and each creature within 5 feet of it must make a Dexterity saving throw. If the target and creatures are in water or covered in water, they automatically fail their saving throw, and the lightning leaps another 5 feet hitting any creature within 10 feet of the original target. A creature takes 1d10 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

The spell's damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10).
