The Sight That Comes With Blindness

Monks of The Way of The Blind Eye are able to harness what would seem like a disability. All monks of this tradition inflict themselves with blindness by ruining their eyes in some way. After they undergo this process they then focus their efforts on using their ki to enhance their new senses that come with blindness. In a technique that has been mastered over generations Monks of The Blind Eye are able to sense their surroundings with their other senses. They have superior balance, hearing, smell and awareness. The Blind Eye is a quiet sect of monks, they do not interact against nature or society, they simply live in it, and everyone else seems to be blind to their presence.

Blindness

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have decided to lose your sight in an attempt to gain the benefits of honing your other senses. You lose your other means of sight and gain blindsight to a range 60 feet. This blindsight has limits, however and can only passively sense up to your passive perception. Your blindsight increases by another 60 feet when you reach 6th, 11th, and 17th level.

Blind Advantage

At 3rd level, your blindness gives you many advantages, you gain proficiency in insight and perception, as your honed senses allow you to notice small details and can sense heartbeats.

Landscape's Secrets

Starting at 6th level, you've learned to use a form of echolocation to reveal the true form of what is around you. You may spend one minute concentrating and making a low humming noise after one minute you know the landscape/layout of the environment as well any hidden compartments or special or unique items anywhere within 500 feet from you. You can discern if any object found this way is magical or not, but nothing beyond that.

You also gain the effects of the alert feat.

Blind Prowess

Starting at 11th level, using your enemy's subtle movements you can predict their attacks before they make them. If a successful melee attack is made against you may spend 2 ki points to force your opponent to make a dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC. On a fail the attack misses and you trip your enemy, making them fall prone.

One With Blindness

At 17th level, using your honed senses you can use pressure points to severely disable a creature. Whenever you use stunning strike you if the creature fails they are also blinded, deafened and vulnerable to all damage types until the end of your next turn.
