Base Class: Monk
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" as some say. Though this saying is thought to be reckless and savage, it could apply in many situations of martial discipline.
By taking this philosophy, Monks of the Dukhai have grown to withstand incoming blows, and take that power to increase their own.
Power of the Dukhai
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you embrace your weakness, and use it to your advantage. If you took any damage since your last turn, you gain the following:
- 19 and 20 attack rolls count as critical hits for you.
- +2 damage for every attack.
Relinquish
At 6th level, you gain more powerful the more you are damaged. Every time your hit points have decreased by 1 quarter of your maximum, you gain the following benefits:
- Your speed increases by 10 ft.
- 1 additional attack as part of your action.
- 1 ki point regained.
Temporary hit points are ignored using this feature.
Pain Insensitivity
Beginning at 11th level, you have control over the pain you intake. You gain resistance to all non-magical weapons. After taking damage that you are resistant to, you can to use your reaction to take full damage instead.
Balidana
Also at 11th level, you can choose to sacrifice apart of your health to gain the upperhand. As a bonus action, you can spend 3 ki points to take 2d12 necrotic damage and gain 4d12 temporary hit points.
Behold Agony
At 17th level, you feel your Dukhai enrage you as you are being attacked. If you are damaged by more than half of your maximum hit points since your last turn, you deal critical damage for each attack you do. This lasts until you are above your maximum hit points.
