Monk
Base Class: Monk

---

'The woman stands alone, bare if not for rags, at the edge of the stormy cliff. She poses with a deep stance as the battering wind assails her, ripping apart her body with terrible ferocity. With each punch, crystalline rings around her arms batter her wrist and tear apart her arms. She doesn't feel the pain, no, she hasn't felt it since her first years with this style of training. The breaking of her bones compounds with the ripping of her muscles until finally, she finishes the stance and breathes outward- her lungs burning, she sits and begins to meditate. After repairing her body, she found herself multitudes stronger. The Jade surrounding her finally glinted and glimmered with ambient Qi, a sign her work has finally paid off. '

Powered by excitant ability to harness the elements stored within the world, the Way of Gemstone Monk finds their power lying within the elements and gifts of the earth. They train underneath waterfalls, wear weighted iron rings around their forearms, and bind their bodies with heavy tungsten. As a result of their sacrifice, they gain themselves great power. Where as normally, the damage in the bones of a standard monk would be filled with rigid calcium deposits the Gemstone Monk fill it with tough metals and gems. How they form these is a secret rarely shared, but, some suggest they eat the Gemstones they use to empower themselves.

As a Gemstone Monk, you manifest certain features that are based on various types of Gems and Metals, which evolve as you do. You cannot swap which Gems and Metals you have selected as you play without serious DM intervention, so be warned that your choice is forever.
