A Blood Mage is a wizard that has forsaken the traditional studies of Colleges and Universities to pull upon the powers of life and death itself, through dark rituals strengthening their arcane magicks and weakening their foes.

Devour Energies

At second level you learn how to harness the latent energies of blood, devouring them and storing them for use in your occult rituals.

When you kill an enemy with a spell, you can add that spells level to your damage modifier on the next spell cast.

Blood of the Covenant

Beginning at 2nd level, you can pull upon the restorative nature of blood magic to restore others to life.

When an ally falls unconscious you can spend your reaction and HP equal to your wizard class level to bring them back to consciousness with 1 HP.

Furthermore, you can use this feature as an action to spend HP equal to your wizard class level and gain an equal amount of temporary HP.

Vampiric Tendencies

Starting at 6th level you learn to take inspiration from others who use blood magic to strengthen their powers.

When you damage a creature with a cantrip you gain HP equal to your proficiency modifier.

By Blood Broken

Starting at 10th level you learn how to break your opponents by binding their blood to your will.

You can spend your action to cast the spell Dominate Person. Casting the spell using this feature you can target any creature that is not Undead, Elemental or Mechanical in nature and the creature uses their Strength Saving Throw to resist the effect of the spell.

Using this feature will decrease your current HP by half, and it can be used up to 3 times per long rest.

Consumed from Within

At 14th level your mastery of blood magic has taught you to use your own life force to fuel your spells.

As an action you can spend your HP to create spell slots. Each level of spell slot costs 10 HP. For example you could create two 1st level spell slots for 20HP, or one 2nd level spell slot for 20HP.
