Monk
Base Class: Monk

Generate astral power, which you can channel into various aspects of yourself.

Astral Engines

At 3rd level, you gain two astral engines through which you can channel your power. You gain another one at 11th level and 17th level.

Each engine begins each combat at level 0. At the start of each of your turns, roll a martial arts die and raise the level of one of your engines by the result. If the die's result is less than or equal to your proficiency bonus, you can choose to gain that many ki instead of raising the level of one of your engines.

As a bonus action on your turn, you can spend any amount of ki up to your proficiency bonus to increase an engine's level by the amount of ki you spent.

Defense Engine

While your defense engine level is 1 or higher, as a bonus action on your turn you can spend any number of defense engine levels to roll that many martial arts dice and gain that many temporary hit points.

Destiny Engine

While your destiny engine level is 1 or higher, as a reaction to a creature rolling a d20 you can spend a destiny engine level to roll a martial arts die and increase or decrease that d20 roll by half your result rounded up.

Destruction Engine

While your destruction engine level is 1 or higher, you roll an additional martial arts die for damage rolls of your unarmed strikes and monk weapons. Your destruction engine level is reduced by 1 after each attack you perform, regardless of whether they hit or miss.

Displacement Engine

While your displacement engine level is 1 or higher, when you would spend movement you can instead spend any number of displacement engine levels to teleport 5 feet times the number of levels you spent.

Astral Feedback

As an action, you can spend 4 ki to cast dispel magic or remove curse as a 3rd-level spell. As a reaction to a creature casting a spell, you can spend 4 ki to cast counterspell as a 3rd-level spell.

Any spell you cast this way has a range of touch.

Overclock

You can spend 2 ki on your turn to overclock one of your astral engines until your next turn. While overclocked and while you have at least 1 ki, the astral engine's bonuses are doubled and any reductions to that engine's level are also applied as reductions to your ki.

Astral Champion

*Incomplete*

Bonus to astral engines while they're at/above martial arts die size (ie 10); spends that many levels all at once for a larger effect than usual.

Destruction: Cone attack, radiant+fire damage

Defense: Resist all damage until next turn

Destiny: TBA

Displacement: Teleport self and others, up to 5X feet per creature
