Monk
Base Class: Monk

Through several years of training, monks who follow the Way of the Cloth display their expertise by utilising their own bandages as extensions of their body by manipulating them with their Ki.

Cloth Manipulation

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can control your bandages as if they were your own limbs. You can spend 1 Ki point to manipulate your bandages to do any of the following actions:

  • Grab a small object, push a button, or pull a lever within 20ft of you.
  • Grab part of a tree or structure and pull you up a distance equal to your movement speed.

At 6th level, for an additional Ki Point, you can also:

  • As a reaction, you can use your bandages to pull a creature or large object up to 10ft closer to you.
  • As a bonus action, you can attempt to restrain an enemy creature. Target creature must make a Dexterity Saving Throw. On a failed save the target creature is restrained. The restrained creature can spend an action to try and escape. Restrained creature must succeed a Strength Saving Throw.

Bound Defense

At 6th level, as a bonus action, you can use your bandages to cover your body, increasing your AC by 1. You can do this an equal number of times as your Proficiency Bonus per short or long rest.

Bandage Brawler

Beginning at 11th level, when you use Flurry of Blows, you can spend an additional Ki point to make your attacks with simple one-handed weapons held by your bandages instead of unarmed strikes. Damage is equal to 1d6 + DEX modifier.

Mummification

At 17th level, you gain the ability to envelop your enemies completely in bandages in an attempt to suffocate them. Can only affect creatures that require oxygen to survive. You can spend 6 Ki Points to attempt to envelop a creature in your bandages. Creatures must pass a DEX Saving Throw in order to dodge the bandages. When enveloped, at the start of their turn, a Creature may spend an action to make a STR Saving Throw to attempt to break out from the bindings. At the end of their turn, Creatures must make a Death Saving throw. After 3 failed saves, the creature dies.

If a creature dies near you, you can spend 4 Ki points to drain any remaining life force from them - gain 3 free Hit Dice Rolls. These free Hit Dice only last for one day.
