Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Wrath is a manifestation of the Paladin's anger and desire to destroy evil and tyranny through overwhelming force. The presence of great evil or tyranny disrupting the lives of those that live freely and peacefully drives these Paladins to charge into battle with the fury of a storm. These Paladins have honed their abilities to emulate the storms of nature. When they fight their wrath rages like an approaching storm, silent and still at first and then a violent storm of destruction moments later. While their wrath is unstoppable when they've located their enemies, Paladins that take this oath understand the destructive power they wield and act patiently to find the right time to let loose a storm of destruction onto their enemies and all who aid them.
These paladins share the following tenets:
- Protect freedom in the face of tyranny and peace in the face of evil.
- Practice patience and control your wrath.
- Unleash complete destruction onto the evil and tyrannical.
Level 3: Oath of Wrath Spells
The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of Wrath Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Level 3: Approaching Storm
As a Bonus Action you can expend one use of your Channel Divinity to sacrifice 30 feet of movement and make your next use of a defensive spell at 3rd level or lower free on this turn and grant you +2 to your AC until the start of your next turn. A defensive spell is any spell that heals you, grants you temporary hit points, grants you damage resistance, increases your AC, or improves your ability to succeed at saving throws.
Additionally, the first melee weapon attack or unarmed strike you make on your next turn does additional lighting or thunder damage (your choice) equal to 2d10 + your Charisma modifier.
Level 7: Thundering Blitz
You can cast the Thunder Step spell at 3rd level using your Bonus Action without expending a spell slot even if you cannot cast the spell normally. When cast in this way you can cause the damage of the spell to be triggered at the space you arrive at instead of the space you left but you cannot bring along any objects or creatures. You can cast the spell in this way a number of times equal to your Strength modifier and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 15: Battering Storm
Creatures that you hit with lightning or thunder damage have Disadvantage on effects that force movement or cause the Prone or Frightened conditions for 1 minute. Additionally, Approaching Storm's damage bonus increases to 4d10 and you can use Approaching Storm one additional time for free for 1 minute after you have used it by expending a use of your Channel Divinity.
Level 20: Wrathful Tempest
You have learned to harness the full power of a raging storm. Whenever you or an ally affected by your aura are attacked, you can immediately deal 4d8 lightning damage to the attacker and you can use your Reaction to deal an additional 2d8 thunder damage and push the attacker 10 feet away from you. Additionally, Approaching Storm now benefits your next two melee weapon attacks or unarmed strikes and no longer consumes any movement.
