Base Class: Cleric
The Wrath Domain embraces the ferocity and fury of the divine, drawing strength from deities associated with vengeance, protection, and righteous anger. These clerics harness their deity's power to protect allies and strike down those who threaten the innocent.
Level 3: Disciple of Wrath
When you cast a leveled spell that deals damage, you add a bonus to your spell attack roll equal to the spell’s level. Additionally, when you deal damage with a cleric cantrip, that cantrip deals an extra 2 radiant damage.
Level 3: Wrath Domain Spells
Your connection to this divine domain ensures you always have certain spells ready. When you reach a Cleric level specified in the Wrath Domain Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
Cleric Level | Prepared Spells |
---|---|
3 | Bane, Searing Smite |
5 | Hold Person, Flame Blade |
7 | Bestow Curse, Spirit Guardians |
9 | Guardian of Faith, Blight |
Level 3: Channel Wrath
As an action, you present your Holy Symbol and expend a use of your Channel Divinity to evoke Radiant energy that deals a number of damage equal to five times your Cleric level. Choose any number of creatures within 30 feet of yourself, and divide that damage among them. This feature can reduce a creature by no more than half its Hit Point maximum. If you have any radiant damage left over that you can't send to an enemy, what's left over becomes temporary hit points that you can give to yourself or another creature within 30 feet.
Level 6: Healing through Pain
When you or an ally within 30 feet takes damage from a creature, you can use a bonus action on your next turn to heal that ally for 2 + your proficiency bonus and deal the same amount in radiant damage to the attacker. Usable a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier per short rest.
Level 17: Divine Retribution
When you cast a healing spell that targets a single creature, the next attack against that creature before your next turn automatically misses. Additionally, if you are within 60 feet, you can use your reaction to teleport within 5 feet of the creature that attempted this damage and make one weapon attack against them at advantage.
somewhat ill give you that. it was more meant to take the bonus the life clerics get with healing and apply that to damage instead. also the 2024 version of clerics as a whole just don't have as much flavor as they used to. still love them though
Clerics are the least feature-complete base class spellcaster in the game, particularly post-2024, so you have much more of a budget to change their playstyle with subclasses. This is somewhat like not having a subclass.
