Channel Divinity
An Suffering Paladin of 3rd level or higher gains the following two Channel Divinity options.
Death's Grip Upon You. As an action, target one creature within 40 feet. The target makes a strength saving throw. Creatures bigger than the paladin make the save at disadvantage. On a failure, the target is pulled adjacent taking a weapon attack.
Mutual Suffering. As an action, each visible creature of the paladin’s choice within 30 make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, they take half the damage you take until the start of your next turn.
Aura of Anti Spell
At 7th level, the Paladin and allies within a 10-foot radius of the Paladin diminish the impact of spell damage. Whenever the Paladin or nearby allies are subjected to damage from casted spells, they reduce the damage taken by an amount equal to the Paladin's Charisma modifier plus their proficiency bonus.
This Aura's range increases to 30 feet at 18.
The Benefit to Pain
At 15th level, you gain the following:
- When hit by a melee attack, the target takes damage equal to your Charisma modifier in necrotic damage.
- When critically hit, gain back an expended Channel Divinity charge.
- When you land a Killing Blow or a critical hit, have an enemy within 30 feet make a strength saving throw. On a failure, they are pulled next the paladin.
Rotten Strikes
At 20th level, once per turn, upon successfully landing a smite against a target, that foe suffers rot. At the start of the target's turn, roll half the smite dice used previously rounded down. The target takes the damage and the paladin receives healing equal to this damage amount, even if the paladin is unconscious.
If you can no longer smite, once per turn, you heal your weapons dice damage on a successful weapon swing.
