Base Class: Monk
The Way of the Fruit is an ancient, playful, yet potent monastic tradition that teaches mastery over the natural vitality of fruits. While outsiders may laugh at the notion of fruit-themed martial arts, those who have seen these monks in battle know better — they wield the life essence of orchards, meadows, and wild groves as weapons of both beauty and devastation.
Monks of this tradition cultivate rare, mystical fruits in sacred gardens hidden away from the world. Through intense meditation, physical training, and secret alchemical practices, they draw out the hidden powers of fruits: the searing acid of citrus, the sturdy protection of thick melons, and the nimble vitality of wild berries.
They embody not only the refreshing energy of nature but also its resilience and unpredictability. In battle, these monks move like a sudden summer storm — striking swiftly, shielding themselves with vibrant energy, or dancing effortlessly through the battlefield. Outside of combat, they are gardeners, healers, and explorers, nurturing life wherever they tread.
Practitioners of the Way of the Fruit are often joyful and mischievous, but behind their playful smiles lies a serious dedication to the preservation of nature's bounty and balance. They believe that by aligning themselves with the ancient forces of growth and renewal, they can achieve ultimate harmony — both with the world and within themselves.
Fruitful Stance
3th-level Way of the Fruit feature
As a bonus action, you can enter a Fruitful Stance a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest, unless you spend 1 ki point to use it again. Only one stance can be active at a time. It lasts 1 minute or until you fall unconscious.
Choose one of the following stances:
Citrus Stance. Your strikes become infused with acidic fruit energy. Your unarmed strikes deal additional acid damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die. You can deal this extra damage only once per turn. Also, when you damage a creature with your Citrus Stance, it becomes poisoned until the end of your next turn.
Melon Stance. You surround yourself with a thick, rind-like aura. You gain a +2 bonus to your armor class and at the start each of your turns, you gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.
Kiwi Stance. You radiate an aura of vitality. You and allies within 10 feet gain advantage on saving throws against poison and disease. Also, you can purify small amounts of food and water or remove minor poisons.
Fruit Surge
6th-level Way of the Fruit feature
You learn how to unleash a burst of fruit energy. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 ki points to cause a powerful fruit explosion. All creatures within 10 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC. On a failed save, each creature takes acid damage equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die and have their movement speed halved until they succeed on their save. The saving throw can be repeated at the start of the creatures turn.
Stance Empowerment
11th-level Way of the Fruit feature
Your stances become even more potent:
Citrus Stance. You now deal the extra damage whenever you hit it with an attack. Also, when you damage a creature with your Citrus Stance, it must make a Constitution saving throw against your ki save DC or become blinded until the end of your next turn.
Melon Stance. You gain immunity to critical hits.
Kiwi Stance. You and allies within 10 feet become immune to poison and disease. Also, you can spend 1 ki point to heal any poison or disease.
Avatar of the Orchard
