Base Class: Artificer
Advancements in technology have created a new machine of immense power: The Armament. An armament is a large mechanical suit that is piloted by a single person that is geared with highly specialized equipment. These latest innovations have marked a new age for the world with the perfect blend of machine and magic fused to create these juggernauts of power. However, because of how experimental they are, only an artificer has the savvy and wits to pilot such a creation. It should be a reminder though that at the end of the day, the armament is just a gadget and the true potential in the giant machine lies with the artificer themself.
Tool Proficiency
3rd-level Armament feature
You gain proficiency with Smith’s Tools. If you already have this tool proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.
Level 3: Armament Spells
3rd-level Armament feature
When you reach a Artificer level specified in the Armament Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Level 3: Hulking Mechanism
3rd-level Armament feature
You are a master of engineering and control an expandable exoskeleton with a limited power source that you bring with you at all times. As a Bonus action you can equip your hulking mechanism that forms around your body, gaining the following benefits which lasts for 1 hour:
- If you are smaller than Large, you become Large. If you lack the room to become Large, your size doesn't change.
- You gain a +1 bonus to your AC.
- When you attack with a weapon, you can add your Intelligence modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, to the attack and damage rolls.
- You can add your Intelligence modifier for Strength checks and saving throws
- Your hulking mechanism can be treated as a spellcasting focus.
Once the duration of your hulking mechanism ends, you can't use this feature again until you finish a Long Rest or until you expend a spell slot to use it again.
Extra Attack
5th-level Armament feature
You can attack twice, rather than once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Gadget Generation
9th-level Armament feature
You have plenty of experimental inventions that you have developed in tandem with your hulking mechanism. You can select a number of gadgets of your choice equal to your half Proficiency Bonus (round up) to outfit your hulking mechanism with when you summon it onto you. After you use a gadget, you cannot use it again until you finish a Short rest. When you finish a Long rest, you can replace one gadget you know with a different one from this feature.
Gadget: Acceleration Boosters
You have special thrusters, letting you take the Dash action as a Bonus action. Your Speed increases by 15 feet, does not provoke Opportunity Attacks and ignores Difficult Terrain. Once on each of your turns you can jump up to 30 feet by spending 10 feet of movement.
Gadget: Battle Turret
As an action you can produce a special firearm that creates a 30-foot Cone. Targets of your choice within the area must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 5d10 Force damage or half as much on a success. Alternatively, you can make one spell attack against each creature in the area. On a hit, the creature takes 3d6 Force damage + your Intelligence modifier.
Gadget: Drill Digger
You produce a massive adamantine drill, gaining a 10 foot Burrow speed (no action). This melee weapon uses your Intelligence modifier for attack and damage rolls, dealing 3d4 piercing damage on a hit. You deal double the damage against objects. This feature lasts for 10 minutes
Gadget: Electromagnetic Well
As a Bonus action you produce a magnetic field, creating an Emanation with a 20-foot radius for 1 minute. Any target of your choice in the area at the start of its turn is either pushed 10 feet away or pulled 10 feet towards you. Targets in the area wearing metal have Disadvantage on attack rolls against any creature but you.
Gadget: Hydraulic Fists
You're equipped with powerful gauntlets. Your Unarmed Strikes uses your Intelligence modifier for attack and damage rolls, dealing 1d10 Bludgeoning damage on a hit. You can make an Unarmed Strike as a Bonus action. Targets Grappled by you are considered Restrained.
Gadget: Mobile Fortress
As a Bonus action, you create an opaque shield centered in front of you for 1 minute. The shield is 10 feet tall, 20 feet wide, and 1 inch thick. Creatures within 5 feet of you and directly behind the shield cannot have an AC less than 15 + your Intelligence modifier. The shield itself is considered a solid object but creatures of your choice can pass through it.
Gadget: Plasma Blade
You produce a glowing hot blade (no action). This melee weapon has the Reach property and uses your Intelligence modifier for attack and damage rolls, dealing 2d6 radiant damage on a hit. You score a Critical hit on a 18-20 with this weapon and dealing an additional 2d6 to the damage roll. This feature lasts for 10 minutes.
Gadget: Propulsion Cannon
As an action you create a 40-foot long, 5-foot wide Line of wind. Targets in the area must succeed on a Strength saving throw or take 5d8 Force damage and are pushed to the end of the Line. On a success, the target takes half as much damage and is pushed 15 feet. If the target collides into a creature or Medium or larger object, it takes another 1d8 Force damage.
Marvelous Machine
15th-level Armament feature
Your hulking mechanism has exceeded its prototype stage and has reached its fully realized form. Your hulking mechanism becomes Huge and gains a Fly speed equal to your Speed. While equipped, you have Advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
In addition, you deal an additional 1d10 Force damage whenever you damage a target with an attack roll or spell while equipped with your hulking mechanism.
