Base Class: Paladin
“Strength is life. Honor is life. Loyalty is life. Death is life.”
The Oath of the Warrior calls to those who live and die by the sword — not for conquest, but for conviction. Paladins who take this oath see battle as both trial and teacher. They are soldiers bound by creed, champions of loyalty, and protectors of their kin. To them, strength is sacred, honor is law, and death is not an end but a passage to glory.
These paladins often come from old clans or ancient orders where martial skill and moral discipline are inseparable. They stand as living testaments to the belief that a warrior’s worth is measured not by the blood they spill, but by the purpose for which they raise their blades

Roleplaying the Oath of the Warrior
Paladins who swear this oath often see themselves as the bridge between mortal and divine strength — warriors whose discipline borders on the spiritual. Some travel to test their limits, seeking worthy battles. Others become teachers, forging the next generation of soldiers.
No matter where they walk, these paladins live by their creed:
> “Hold the line. Honor the fallen. Be unbreakable.”
Tenets of the Warrior
- Strength. Face every trial unflinching. Master your body, your blade, and your fear.
- Honor. Your word is your bond. Fight fair when you can — fight true when you cannot.
- Loyalty. Stand with your kin, protect the weak, and never abandon those who trust in you.
- Death. Accept mortality. Die with purpose, and your name will never fade.
Six Actions rounded out the core tenets of walking the path of the Oath of the Warrior
- Wearing armor
- Speaking the language
- Defending yourself and your family
- Raising your children and warriors
- Contributing to the clans welfare
- When called upon by your sole ruler, rallying to his cause
Young children of the clan are taught a rhyme to help them learn the tenets. It is translated into Common as:
Education and armor: self-defense, our tribe. Our language, our leader—all help us survive.
Secrets of the Forge
Paladins who take this Oath are different than other paladins, in that they do not serve a particular deity. They are free to worship as they like, as long as the clan's needs take precedent. Weapons and armor are their religion, the battlefield the altar at which they worship. As such, the clan's conclave have special armorers that not only supply them at a fraction of the cost as other blacksmiths, but who also have access to a unique iron. This alloy is from a secret source with a forging technique kept from outsiders: Wa'ri ore. It can be forged into armor at double the normal cost. For instance, breastplate made from Wa'ri would cost 800g. All Wa'ri armor has the following benefits:
- While wearing it, damage that you take from weapon attacks is reduced by 2.
- Any critical hit against you becomes a normal hit.
- Sleeping in the armor has no adverse effect on the wearer.

Ma'and
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you learn Ma'and, the secret language of paladins that follow the Oath of the Warrior. You can speak the language and use it to leave hidden messages. You and others who know this language automatically spot such a message. Others spot the message's presence with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check but can't decipher it without magic.
Smite Slinger
Also at 3rd level, you prove your skill with any weapon via your ability to channel your divine energy into even ranged attacks. When you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal radiant damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage. The extra damage is 2d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d8. The damage increases by 1d8 if the target is an undead or a fiend
Unending Vigilance
Beginning at 7th level, hostile creatures can't have advantage on attack rolls against you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you while you are conscious.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Warrior Spirit
At 20th level, you can assume the form of the ultimate warrior. Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
Magical flames jettison from your back and grant you a flying speed of 60 feet.
When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, if that creature has 30 hit points or fewer, it dies.
When you use the Attack action on your turn, you can make weapon attack as a bonus action.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
