With the adventurers on the run from Elturel, the Road to Baldur’s Gate just got a bit more dangerous. The fastest path to the Gate is down the mighty River Chionthar, but this river of gold may soon become a river of the damned.

Scornubel, the City of Caravans, is one of the last stops on the Road to Baldur’s Gate. Unfortunately for the travelers, trouble seems to find them wherever they go. Whatever deviltry is at work in Elturgard is alive and well in Scornubel.

The road to Baldur’s Gate leads the characters along a country highway in the realm of Elturgard. Soon they find themselves near the boughs of the Reaching Wood, and in danger of attack from the raiders that stalk these lands.

The characters enter the domain of Elturgard, and have grim encounter with one of the famed Hellriders of Elturel. If they can survive this trial, perhaps they’ll have the chance to rest in the farming village of Triel.

A warband of yuan-ti from the realm of Najara ambush the characters as they travel over the Boareskyr Bridge! Will this mark the end of their journey to Baldur’s Gate?

The characters finally find their first settlement since leaving Daggerford: a merchant camp on the north side of the Boareskyr Bridge. There, they can trade, rest, and prepare for the third leg of their journey.

Our heroes journey south past the ruins of Dragonspear Castle and enter the treacherous hills known as the Trollclaws. Perhaps the name makes it all too obvious what sort of dangers they’ll find in wait there…
