Greetings Beyonders!
I am very happy to announce an important change to how you can run your campaigns. The 12 active character limit has been replaced by a 12 active player limit.
Here are some important bits about this change:
- The DM does not count against the 12 player limit
- There is a new active character limit of 99 - this is subject to change as we are monitoring usage, performance, etc.
- If a campaign has met the 12 player limit, no new players can join (even if there are unclaimed characters)
Also, hi! I'm Dani and I'm a new(er) addition to the DDB team and I hope to be sharing many more updates with you guys in the future :)

Posted Jul 21, 2019Hi Dani? is there a possible way to contract the Codemonkeys in your IT Zoo to change the colour of "Cast and "Use" in the spell section of a character sheet to not match each other? New users of my campaigns are super confused if they see such.
Also bring them some coffee bananas. They have earned it

Posted Jul 22, 2019so this is great, but I have some questions, is the 12 player limit per campaign? does that mean that i can have 12 in one and a different set of 12 in the other campaign?
Also within a campain the 12 players can have an unlimited amount of character in that campaign? of course based on there account limitations taken into account? I have a large group of 8 players but they may have an NPC each as a temporary compainion in jungle adventure as a guide or soemthing.

Posted Jul 22, 2019It is 12 players, per campaign, and they can definitely be different players. There is a current may limit of 99 total "characters" now per campaign, but that is more than enough to cover each player having a few characters in the campaign.

Posted Jul 22, 2019Thanks.
Will there be a list of players in a campaign so that if one leaves the game it’s easy to remove all there characters

Posted Jul 22, 2019The player still has to add their characters the existing way (using the join link for each character). So, the player won't be totally gone from the campaign until they remove all their characters.

Posted Jul 23, 2019I was just wondering if there will be an easy way to remove all characters from one player like a link to remove user and all PC in one swoop

Posted Jul 24, 2019Me too. I don't run 4 ongoing campaigns, but I do run 2 ongoing campaigns and several other one-shots and mini-adventures for friends. Consequently, it's not unusual to have 4 (or more) small groups going at the same time.
For now, to achieve this I have one "campaign" on DnDBeyond which is just for all of the various mini adventures that I run, and then I have two more campaigns for my regular, persistent groups. It works, but it would prefer to not feel like I'm "gaming the system," and just have separate campaigns, with sharing, for my various tiny groups.

Posted Aug 10, 2019Thank you so much, hugely welcome news. Our group went in together to pay for top tier and we run three campaigns. Two of which have 2 arcs per player, the old limit was a real crimp on our sense of value. This is a great improvement.

Posted Sep 12, 2019Hi!
A little out topic but it would be very nice if we could organise our characters by folder.
As a dm who creates a butt-ton of npc with classes, my characters page is overloaded and I can't always find the character I need quickly.
Cheers!
