They have addressed it, they just haven't implemented it yet because it is much more complex than previous UAs. They need to create an underlying framework that will support both this and whatever other options might be added in the future (and maybe home-brews? please?).
To put it bluntly, the feature variant UA is a square peg to DDB's round hole, and DDB is waiting to figure out the logistics of making a square hole and if it is worth it.

I mean they added other UA content like the Rune Knight pretty quickly so I was just wondering.
This isn't like a new subclass, this is revamping every base class with new options where there weren't originally options. They're going to have to revamp the character builder so that there are a bunch of new selections that can be made for each variant feature. Remember that these options aren't all or nothing; you can choose to use some but not all so each one will need to be configured into a "Choose basic feature or variant feature" or "Choose basic feature, or enhanced feature".

I understand that while the things I want to add are small the UA in general is modding every class. Where can you go to see updates on the progress for adding that stuff?

There will probably be an update on BadEye's Dev Update today. Tune in on D&D Beyond's Twitch channel 12 PST, 11 Central.

Yeah. That was a subclass. Tools to add subclasses to DDB exist. That is a round peg.
Variant class features are very very different. Optional additional spells are different. Not only will it take a lot of work to add these, but they may never be published nor anything similar. So DDB is going to take some time, talk to WotC, plan out how they are going to make it work, build tools to add them and UI to use them, then add the options.
It will not be quick. I'm thinking 4-6 more weeks.
The only thing I know is that the last dev update said it would not be in less than 2 weeks. I think it will be at least a month (maybe before Christmas if wee are lucky).

I am not sure this is the place for this but I was just wondering why they have not added the UA content released 11/4? Link: https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/unearthed-arcana/class-feature-variants . There are some cool Warlock options in there that I would like to be able to add.

Any news ?
Don't expect it within the next two weeks is what Adam said on the dev stream
