Added notes to my campaign. They are long, and not used often. So it would be better to put active characters at the top, instead of making us do the long scroll to the bottom each time.

Great looking site and I will try to use this to create a few different character than my current campaigns.
One thing I really hope to see is homebrew races in addition to spells. For instance, I can not pick Drow as a subrace to Elves.
As this is a beta I'm sure this option may be added at a later time?
Drow are not currently available free from WotC. The ability to purchase them will become available on August 15, as expounded upon at great length here.
I've been experimenting with creating magic items with charges specifically to see how they interact with the character sheet.
Firstly, I've noticed that magic items only display that they have charges if you attach spells to the magic item. If the item has an effect that uses charges but is not a spell then the header does not list the remaining charges and no checkboxes appear in the item listing. Compare Ring of the Ram to Staff of Fire when both are equipped and attuned. Surely any item with charges should have a tracker of remaining charges regardless of whether it is spells or other properties that consume the charges.
When an item does have spells attached, the listing of the spell in the item's listing does not list the type of action required to cast the spell. In the items I have seen under casting time it just says "1" rather than "1 Action" or "1 Bonus Action".
When an item is created with 10 or more charges the tracking display changes from checkboxes to a current/max charges display with "+", "-", "confirm" and "clear" buttons. To me this is a much better way of displaying the information than the (IMO) ugly checkboxes. I would like to see this interface rolled out to items with fewer than 10 charges. I would also like to see the spell listings in the magic item listing have a cast button and +/- buttons to control the charge cost. Clicking the "cast" button would automatically update the remaining charges value.
I do like that magic items with charges (and attached spells) appear not just in the equipment section, but also appear in the "limited use" and "spells" sections, however, this functionality should also include all items with charges (as per bullet point 1).
Magic weapons also still have no weight values listed.
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but it seems to make finesse weapons auto-use dexterity. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or I'm just missing something. Hope that helps.

Have you tried giving a high-Str character a Finesse weapon?

Is there a way to add additional proficiencies to the proficiency section after character creation?
I don't think there is currently but a workaround i use is to just create a magic item with the name of the proficiency that gives the character that proficiency
I have seen things improve when it comes to things like draconic ancestry for sorcerers, pact of the tome for warlocks and today I noticed that normal gear where sorted before magical gear in the equipment manager so I am sure things like having metamagic abilities under the limited use section, being able to put rituals into the book of ancient secrets and keeping track of your arrows/bolts will come as well.
The builder has grown significantly since you fiery out it out, great job!
Would it be possible to implement the ability to alter the point buy total? Some groups use higher point buys than the standard 27 and the option to work that into the character builder would be great.

And higher numbers than 15, at a price set by the DM?

Thanks! Hopefully they add in a way to do it without a workaround.

Yeah, that would be a great way to round out the customization options for point buy. Good suggestions!
Character Creation Thoughts: Created a randomly generated 6th level druid today. No cantrips or first level spells were generated, but 2nd and 3rd level spells were selected for me, as was my bonus 2nd level cantrip. I added armor and a staff, and found that there is a non-magical staff in the equipment options, but once I picked it, it does not show up as an option to equip as a weapon. Went back and added a Quarterstaff, and that worked fine. I also created a random, 1st level Sorcerer today that had a 16 STR, 15 Dex, and 7 Cha. I'm not sure the random attribute and random class algorithm is completely worked out.
Homebrew Thoughts: We need a way to homebrew classes. This may be on the development path already (I'm late to the beta test and still catching up), but if it isn't it should be.
Edited: Removed my concern about how to add spells -- operator error :)

Currently the random character generator is just that completely random. Makes for some interesting characters.
on druid character creation there is no option for mood druid in circle other than this im loving this

During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion and potentially others. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book, Module or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has just been announced.

Please note: Basic Rules/SRD limitations remain in place during the course of this Beta; all character customization possibilities will not be present.

Hi all!
Any of you know where i can find my expertise bonus on my thieves tools? Maybe an idea to have a tools section?
It would be cool to be able to select expertise for the Rogue class. It used to be there, but now it is removed.
I cannot set expertise on any of the skills.
