I know that the beta literally just came out, but I'm really hoping we get some Official Art to decorated the compendium a little bit. At present the compendium feels a little bare bones and hard to read? Here's hoping that we get some better layout and design for the full product :x
Same. If I am going to be paying for a subscription, or the cost of a book, I would like to see as much new art that would come from buying a new book.

Hell yeah I am going to Polymorph the boss into a Rabbit. I have always wanted a being a pure evil stuffed into a ball of fluff.
Art work would be cool and make it prettier but then you'll have to deal with longer loading times for content on your page... maybe. There may be a problem running art work on Mobile platforms, that said this white is so... white :)
Just want to throw in that I want to be able to see the artwork in a separate window by way of choice. If I choose to show to players I don't want to bring up that creature's stats, etc.
I would love to see more of the artwork available from the books as well. Even if it was a separate window, I feel the current design of the site is still a little sparse for my taste. Half of what I enjoy about d and d product is the amazing art, and if I am buying a digital version of a book I feel kind of cheated without getting access to ALL of the wonderful illustrations.

The digital books in DDB provide ALL the artwork and maps you can find in the physical books.
I stand corrected, after spending a bit more time looking through the books it does appear that all the images are included as you state. I think the format just threw me off, as the art does tend to feel subordinate to the text, and the full page images that are in the book tend to be presented as background images or more thumbnails in the digital format. I think that is totally fine however and I am glad to see that you are reproducing the entirety of the book in digital form including all the wonderful illustrations. Looking forward for what is in store, great initial release.

Confirmed - artwork is in! (Just not completely in for this phase of the beta.)
Marvelous!
Agreed. Artwork, especially if there was a good selection of pog-style artwork for sites like roll20 would be AMAZING!
