Syncing Entitlements
If you don’t see any of the content from the book, please be sure to resync your entitlements. You can do so by following these steps:
Once completed, your content should appear! If you experience any issues accessing your content please contact our Support Team.
ENABLING CONTENT FOR YOUR CHARACTER
To use content from Tome of Beasts 1 in the character builder, you will need to set the character preferences to include the Kobold Press source category (see the .gif below).
EXISTING MONSTERS
There are a number of monsters that share the same name as content that has already been published. In order to help distinguish between the two, we've appended (KP) to the end of the affected monsters:
There are also a number of new environments that a monster can belong to:
Any
Badlands
Farmland
Planar
Unfortunately, these environments are not currently available as filter options when filtering by monsters. Please note that the "Underground" environment in Tome of Beasts 1 correlates to the Underdark environment in the monster listing filters.
To the point of "which version?" of Tome of Beasts, this is a helpful article published by Kobold Press that explains the difference between the 2016 and 2023 version (some monsters were added to 2023, some were taken out of the 2023 version):

Kobold Press released a version of Tome of Beasts a few years ago and a revised version in 2023.
Which version is presented here? That is very unclear, and not stated anywhere I could find.
This is the 2023 version of that book!
