The android app has only shown me the book material and has no connectivity to the rest of the app functions. It seems as though the ability to do anything but read what is available in my compendium is lost to the app.
As filcat mentioned, the app is in Beta. It's never had anything but the Compendium since coming out of the Alpha round of testing. Badeye and the team have mentioned that more will be coming to the app like the listings pages (spell/monsters, etc.) and character builder in the future.
The website itself is mobile responsive, so you can still access all the features of D&D Beyond through a web browser. If you had been doing this through an app, that was something that had been posted into the app store by someone outside of Curse that did not have any ties to DDB. I know there was one or two fake apps reported that seem to have been removed from the app stores.

The app is still in a BETA phase of development. The other features of D&D Beyond will come in the app in future releases.
While I understand that, the app has the rest of the features as recently as four months ago, so why the change?
