For myself I felt 2 easy features missing in the character builder:
1. Button to roll for suggested PHB Traits, Ideals, Bonds and Flaws, along with the personally entered field.
2. Buttons to add items generated directly from starter packs / class items, along with the personally entered field.
Also I feel the wall for feats and archetypes is very poorly implemented, the tool is very crippled without them and it is not adequately explained in the preface that this is only a tester tool and you should not expect to make proper characters with it without some contribution.
I was able to make 5 characters with just the free content.

is it possible to get pop-ups for the status effects when you aply them to your characters. Right now its rly small icon which could already be larger. Too hard to see
For the character export -- it would be great if there was an option to do it from the "View Character" sheet rather than having to go through the editor to do so.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. But you can-- The dropdown menu next to the name of the character has the option.

Nope you weren't misunderstanding at all. I had no clue there was a dropdown there, I failed to see the tiny little dropdown triangle. It's about as small as the status indicators on the HP bar when activated. Should be larger imo.
I'm creating a Paladin and then I get to choose one kind of Oath. The text itself does not explain what is each of the possibilities. But it's okay, below there's the "Oath Spells" table. ButI feel it's missing a kind of overlay or tooltip when I hover over the spell names, as I don't know all of them and picking an oath knowing each of the spells helps a lot.
Also, would be a LOT helpful if the Proficiencies select came with their Status. For example: Instead of "Athletics", be "Athletics (STR)".

I agree that the icons for conditions are way too small and unnoticeable. How about, in addition to the current tiny icons, ALSO having larger icons that automatically appear in the black space of all sub menus that are affected by that condition as well (in the black space next to abilities, skills, attacks, etc.). So, for instance, if you are blinded, a bigger icon would also show up next to the word "skills" and next to the word "attacks" in the black space of both menus. Even better, you should be able to hover your cursor over the icon to have it automatically show how that condition affects those skills and attacks, so when you hover over the icon it links to the following information from the rules compendium:
Blinded
A blinded creature can't see and automatically fails any ability check that requires sight.
Attack rolls against the creature have advantage, and the creature's attack rolls have disadvantage.
In fact, it would also be great to hover/link this information to the current smaller icons as well. So when players hover over the icon in the hit points section or the status screen for hit points, they can quickly see the rules/affects of that condition.
Another feedback, now concerning to Starting Equipment:
to know which are the starting equipment, we need to go on `More > Starting Equipment`. It's listed what we can pick, but there's no option to Add those said items from there.
Therefore, I need to go back n forth between `More` and `Manage` to actually add one by one manually. If we could click and pick from the Starting Equipment options and auto-add (or show an overlay with list of options to pick from, when there are multiple), would be great. Example:
(a) a martial weapon and a shield or (b) two martial weapons
(a) five javelins or (b) any simple melee weapon
(a) a priest’s pack or (b) an explorer’s pack
Chain mail and a holy symbol
Would be great to click on A or B for each option. On the ones that say "Martial Weapon", it'll open a list of Martial Weapons to pick from. In case where has no choice (Chain Mail), clicking on it simply adds to the Inventory.
For now, while this is developed (since it's kinda per class basis), you could only enable the `ADD ITEMS` from Manage into `Starting Equipment` as well, in order for us to add them from there.

Part of an issue I have also is that there is no designation between simple and martial weapons when adding them, or even viewing them in the item catalog. If I am missing it, someone please tell me where it's at, if it isn't there it needs to be added.
When looking up items on the character creator, arrows are under "Other items" and arrows +1/+2/+3 are under "weapons" intended or a simple mistake?
I noticed a similar issue when attempting to homebrew Arrows +2. I'm not sure if arrows are technically supposed to be classified as 'Weapons', 'Ammunition' or something else in DnD rules... either way, the homebrew system doesn't seem to know how to classify them too. Arrows don't appear in either the 'Weapons' or 'Basic Items' drop down menus when attempting to homebrew.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but according to RAW languages and tool proficiencies should be interchangeable with each other, "and choose a total of two tool proficiencies or languages from the sample backgrounds." However, it will only allow you to change which languages or tool proficiencies. You can't replace a tool proficiency with a language or vice versa. Are there plans to change this to match RAW?

That's the next thing on the developers' to-do list.

Hey, could we get a "Ritual Book" spell container in the character UI or something similar for managing rituals gained through the Book of Ancient Secrets Warlock ability? Ideally with a filtered add spell list that shows all spells with the ritual tag.
Just created a randomized level 2 wizard. The wizard ended up with an 8 for intelligence but 18 for charisma. Mistake?
It's not a mistake, as they truly mean random. But the devs have mentioned that they hope to build out the quick build feature to allow for higher level characters. Which, I think, would better serve someone trying to make a quick character of any level.
Ping!
for the ability to add custom proficiencies and languages!
Thanks all!
