also, I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, but as a thief you are supposed to get a stat increase/feat option at lvl 10 and none is given when making your character
Glad I missed the first few hours, because this experience is pretty great. I can't wait for this to be part and parcel of the D&D experience. You should be very proud.
Now, with that out of the way, the two things I noticed that I'm sure have already been brought up, but just incase:
1. I created a Variant Human and assigned which ability scores I wanted to increase by +1, but then when I got to the Ability Scores page, that didn't show up in the Racial Modifier box, which still sat at 0.
2. I chose Stealth proficiency for my Human trait, then I could also have chosen Stealth for a Ranger proficiency, and then I took the Criminal/Spy Background and got Stealth proficiency again anyway. Either remove the options you've already taken from future drop-down lists (but that doesn't prevent you from unwittingly doubling up on a Background or other fixed proficiency) or better yet make a page near the end showing the list of your proficiencies, highlighting duplicates, and an edit button next to any that come from a list (i.e. are not fixed like BG proficiencies).
So my only issue at this point is I wanted to use this for my current campaign and you only have two subraces for Elf and I play a Drow. And we're currently in the Underdark. Are there any plans to add that soon? You have the genasi and not drow and that sort of threw me off.

We have genasi because genasi are "free". They are part of the elemental evil supplement, which is free. Drow are not free. We have to wait the final release of the PHB. And pay for it, when the price is announced.
I'm entirely jazzed about this, as what little I've seen looks super user friendly and intuitive. However, I can't get past the add a class page with any character thus far. It just gives me the red spinning circle of hypnotism... Hopefully whatever bugs are clogging up the works get squashed soon. Keep up the good work!
Replying to myself here. I finally got a character all the way finished. All I have to say is: awesome! Though there a couple UI things I might have done differently, the overall process and outcome is spectacular. The digital sheet is totally user friendly, puts everything I want to know right where I need it, and I love the collapse-ability of information. Now I just need to find a PbP to join... :)
When in the character builder, I made a dwarf. I had to pick my racial tool proficiency of smith's, mason's, or brewer's tools. When I opened the dropdown menu to pick one of those three, it listed ALL tools instead. It should probably only let you pick one of those three tools.
So I would have to pay for a second phb is what your saying? Isn't it already out? Am I missing some key facts here? But also why wouldn't drow be 'free'? If that's the case I'll just stick with what I was doing before.
Some of this has been mentioned, but I would recommend changing the order of creation. Should be able to select race, class, stats, background, then fill in the abilities. When you strictly follow the order, you end up going back and forth a lot to look change proficiencies. If selecting the proficiencies and languages (possibly others) was not tied directly to the class or race page, you could select from all the available options for both the race and class and background and would keep you from trying to double up on the same proficiency.
For example I made a Half-Elf Paladin with a Soldier background:
Skill proficiencies:
Half-Elf: + 2 skills
Paladin: 2 from: Athletics, insight, Intimidation, Medicine, Persuasion and Religion
Soldier: Athletics, Intimidation
If you start with the race it asks you to pick 2 skills, then when you go to class it asks you to select 2 skills, then you get 2 more from being a soldier. However the Solder overlaps with the Paladin so if you aren't paying attention you can end up getting Athletics from Race, then when you get to class you go back and change to something else, maybe you pick Intimidation. Now you get to background and get Intimidation and have to go back and select something else from Half-Elf again.
So I would have to pay for a second phb is what your saying? Isn't it already out? Am I missing some key facts here? But also why wouldn't drow be 'free'? If that's the case I'll just stick with what I was doing before.
OAN: all the half-orc art options are males.
Yep. If you want the PHB, when it will be released, in digital format in DDB there will be a price. The drow is not a race part of the SRD or basic rules and for basic rules I mean those rules free at the WotC website. SO unfortunately, the drow is not free.

Genasi are part of the EEPC, Drow are PHB. EEPC, SRD, and Basic Rules are included here currently.
Tried making a human variant but only found that two feats, Grappler and Svirfneblin Magic (?), were available. Will there be more feats soon?
Also human variant racial bonus selection does not carry over into choosing your ability scores, you have to add an extra modifier if you want to increase.
Keep up the good work guys I'm really digging this. :)

For the beta test, only material from the SRD and Basic Rules is available. The other official material will be added at the final release. The price for that is still to be announced.
I was excited about this and now I'm not. Having to buy a second phb when I already have one is ridiculous cuz they are not cheap and if that's the case then having to option to put info in manually would make more sense since they aren't that different from any other elf.
Thanks for this! Will be testing it out in our game tonight. Couple of things I have noticed. The program wants to give me a +4 con modifier to my hit points/hit die when my character only has a +1 con modifier.
And is there a way to manually adjust skill proficiencies?
Overall I love this whole thing, the fact that you've even included a homebrew area helps this is the thing that tabletop games have been missing.
I would like to see in the print versions the option to print it in different formats, like a sheet with just an outline of spells/abilities, or a full spellbook like the website has here. Also if i could printout in the standard character sheet the adventurer's league uses or a better format that would be very helpful.

Tabletop brings humankind together, helping you experience things with a perspective you could not otherwise experience. At the table we are all equals there for the love of stories and adventure. Therefore I will work hard to bring dnd to new players and communities so we may grow to understand one another.
The Character Builder is fantastic and very easy to use. I look forward to all of the options being available down the road. The only issue I've had is that when I chose a level for a class, I can't change it to a lower level afterward. For instance, let's say I'm building a multiclassed 10th Level character and him to be a 7th Level Rogue/3rd Level Wizard. If I accidentally click on 8th instead of 7th in the Rogue level pull down, 7th level isn't available anymore. It will just have 8 - 10.
I'm excited to check out the campaign building and hombrew parts, and can't wait to see the app when it arrives. Keep up the great work!
EDIT: I was reading the Release Notes and didn't realize that this issue was addressed, so ... nevermind.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the work of some people is worth some money. The price of a digital PHB is still unknown, and there will be the option with a subscription to share a digital PHB within a gaming group, or to buy the PHB for yourself.

Still having server issues--I am specifically receiving this error in the character builder when trying to generate the character sheet.
Character Sheet Load Error

it does carry over during final creation. it just doesn't appear in the preview apparently.
