I can't stress enough how useful it would be to have a "Party Summary" page for the DM. What we have now in campaign manager looks great, but imagine if it had a summary of the players important stats like Passive Perception and AC. An expandable box with all of their skills and saves would be great.
At the moment I have to flick through 4 character sheets to see who has what passive perception, or alternatively keep a manual list that I have to update regularly. There is no real difficulty in having a quick reference sheet that automatically updates from the characters profile.
Seen that recommended a few times as part of a "DM's Screen" page. Would love that too.

A summary page would be great, but based on what i have seen on most DMs... it would be a a page with all 4 character sheets on it.
heres what i believe most people want on a summary... - AC, HP, Init, Passives (not just perception, but stealth and a few others too) - Skills they have proficiency in. - Languages - spells known (about 25% of the dms wants that, so i guess this one can be left out)
but that's mainly what i've seen and told was the right summary page.

D&D is the core of fantasy tabletop roleplay gaming... To concede things like a map utility, an encounter builder, a monster creator that actually works to build monsters of the appropriate cr... to concede these to other parties and allow them to continue to draw in the fanbase is disheartening... D&D should be the LEADER in bringing tabletop rpg's into the current and future technologies. A campaign manager with a map utility and an encounter builder that lets you automatically level monsters up or down, combat tracker built in... a dice roller option... and the published adventures should all be compatible... Dm's should be able to load an adventure in the campaign tracker, and immediately start their group playing.

Encounter building is planned. I'm sure monster building will be considered down the track as well but, honestly, there are higher priorities for now (like encounter building!). Map utility depends what you mean by a map utility, but DDB is aimed at the table top, not VTT, market and they have no plans for that (which I think is entirely fair). I agree with your last sentence, this is my hope also.
Aside from saying they don't plan a map utility, I haven't seen or read that DDB has "conceded" any such thing. DM tools are coming eventually, but given that he character sheet benefits everyone, and there are far more players than DMs anyway, focusing on those tools makes sense.
A drop in encounter tracker with built in robust dice roller will be wonderful, and I hope that's high on the priority list. Not sure about the monster leveling tool though. It's not really formulaic, so hard to automate, I'd think. We'll see what comes, I suppose.
I love the interface, love being able to change things on players, pretty much the UI and everything in it is awesome.
Adding / Equipping items could be a bit smoother, not sure how.
What we really need though is to be able to limit options in character creation, and limit the purchased materials we are sharing.
I want to buy a few campaigns, but I refuse to do so as it would allow my players to look through them. I'm not exactly worried that they will, but to me, it's the same thing as leaving the book in front of them for a while. Some might be curious to see some things, some might "accidentally" open it and not stop reading... I would just rather not have the option.
So until that option is there, I won't be purchasing any campaign material.
So just a random question, do any of these suggestions or the like see fruition? I came here looking for whether I can limit player access to actual modules, since I'd rather not share those with them and there's literally no point to. I've read previous threads that were posted and argued from both sides as to the whys and wherefores but to no apparent result. This thread was put forth not quite but close to a year ago. It seems like creating it would be simple enough, even if all there was was a check box that put things on or off the list. Having the strictly on/off option, seems lazy on the back end. If you can code up options for what packages customers can buy and gain access to this shouldn't be too difficult a thing to put in place. If it's in place, and I'm just inept and haven't found it my apologies, but thus far it has eluded me. I see a lot of suggestions here that lend themselves more to a VTT or the like, which I thought DnDBeyond might have, but doesn't. I'm fine with that, it seems counter intuitive but I'm still just looking for a modicum of control over my virtual purchases and how they're shared, so jumping that far afield seems overly idealistic at this point.
As a software developer, it doesn't sound like a simple thing to implement at all, especially considering they have other tasks and that there might be marketing reasons not to do it. I don't doubt they take the feedback from this forum into account, but obviously not everything, and even if they do, they have to prioritize what they want to do.
The ability to whitelist what purchased content gets shared in your campaign is on the road map and pretty close. Most if not all the coders are working on the character sheet revamp and the mobile app interface right now. As soon as the revamp is complete, I'm sure those folks will pivot towards other things like the whitelisting capability.

After some time diemming my new campaign using only D&D beyond:
1) Campaign page can be cluttered fast by DM private notes and public notes and 1 or two maps, there is need to organize and make sub blocks for the info. Something like a campaign small forum, where a DM can organize info about the campaign for himself, the players and the single player, it can be organized as a "pre generated" forum. With "Campaign, Players, Dm" fixed sections, where the campaign and players are open sections, and the DM is accessible only by the dm. In this way you can organize better the information witout having Too much clutter all tougheter, and using a basic structure.
2) There is need to have a Dm interface, the dm interface is simply a riepilogative interface where the DM can see the "basics" of all characters listed (stats, saves, skills, pf) for fast reference in case of skill check witout jumping from multiple tabs.
3) Encounter handler, simply a box where you can select the mobs, the number and track theyr Pf and skill fast, es. add mob button, where you search in the database the mob and add the number of that mob. in the main window you have a single line describing the mobs essentials, and clicking over the line you open the entire monster description. Optional the chance to save souch "blocks" of monster as "encounter - Ork patrol" and recall in case of need, inside that campaign, it can be good to have this window intermix with that on point 2, in order to create a digital "Dungeon Master screen".
4) Select for the single campaign what material i want to share with the group. Example, i now run a lost mine campaign, before starting my custom campaign at neverwinter, i want to share with my group tha races, but i want to have them see only the Players handbook and the forgotten realms campaign settings, not the DMs, Monster and Adventure (why have them read the Lost mine if i am running it?)
this thread was started over 15 months ago and as of yet we've yet to see any concrete advancement on this "toolset"
this makes me , as someone who DM's on the regular, and has for over 18 years, look somewhere else for a more feature rich DM product. this is disappointing considering the promise of adding these features in the near future. 15 months isn't in the near future considering the money and subscription we pay imho.
i hope this can start actually moving forward, as the current "Implementation" isn't campaign management, no matter how you try to define it.
I cannot find the Druid's wild shape Circle of the Moon. It is only Circle of Land when picking. Just wondering why this is missing. Thank you for your response.
Have you purchased the Player's Handbook, or have you separately purchased the Circle of the Moon subclass option?
The Circle of the Moon is not available in the free SRD provided by WOTC that DDB can use freely.
So I assumed when I just chucked down my $55 for Master Tier that I would be able to selectively share books/content. So Player's Handbook, Sword Coast Guide, Xanathar's Guide I could share with players and DM's Guide, Monster Manual, and of course modules no way ... but that isn't the case??? (Also since it is digital and not physical you should be able to check box player material in a book like Xanathar's and DM material and share it accordingly)
Come on D&D Beyond guys it should be a coding feat to create a checkbox for what digital books do you share with your players in a campaign. Is there a page with a timeline for working on these bugs/features and so on??

Thanks,
It has been stated many times on this thread, and others, that it is currently all or nothing. However, coming soon(TM) is the ability to whitelist and blacklist material. According to the most recent Dev Update stream, all official content will default to whitelisted and you will need to go through and select which material you want to not show up, while all unofficial content (like UA and Critical Role) will default to blacklisted. There will be multiple options within where you can disable things a little more granularly, as well, if memory serves.
For the time being, you will need to trust that your players won't cheat and look ahead. Although, if you have players who are prone to reading ahead and they really want to do so, they could also just go to a book store and sneak a peak, or go check out any of the preparation guides out there on the DMs Guild listed "pay what you want", and do the same thing. Cheaters gonna cheat, friend.
True enough but it seems like such a no-brainer kind of thing to have selective sharing for your group.
Also it would be nice to have a dev timeline (even if it isn’t 100% accurate) so a rough idea of what upcoming features are closest on the horizon.
Also do they poll for feature priorities?
Thanks.
They don't precisely give timelines, but each month they do give an update with a list of what is "in process" and what is "next up" (i.e. when developer resources are available.) If I remember correctly, content sharing controls were listed in the "next up" section, meaning that they aren't actively working on them now, but they expect it to be one of the things they start on once the "in process" items are finished. (Badeye has also said previously that priorities can change; for example, they ended up having to make some significant server side changes a while back that put some other projects on hold for a bit.)

If you did a quick search you would find this rather quickly. Its called Blacklisting/Whitelisting.
It is also mentioned repeatedly in the Monthly Development Update.

Just bought in at the request of my players and haven’t really purused the forums as of yet.
