Any news on when tooltips will be added to ToA? Is there any way I or someone else could help speed it along? I honestly think this should be a core feature of the site and you should be paid handsomely to hav e it incorporated.

Hi! To be honest I did not touch BH for 3 months (since last release), also this is my first post on this forum since then. I stared on a new job and it was kind of time demanding at the start. Also I thought nobody was using this feature. And due to it is time demanding doing it, since I had to read the adventure, understand the maps and manually add each tooltip location on the map pointing to the target section/image/other map, I kind of gave up doing it in the middle o TotYP.
Lets do the following, since I will play ToA (so I can't read it) this weekend I will add a way to add tooltips (not for every user, but for contributors) and I will get back to you guys. Also my DM is also a programmer, maybe he can help on adding the tooltips (since will help him too XD).
Gratz on the new job. For some reason Facebook doesn't allow in comment links via rich text. I have to paste the link into onenote, right click and copy the link, and then paste it into Facebook. I love the rich text, so I wouldn't want that broken, I'm not even sure it's possible now that I'm typing it out! Disregard and carry on!

I'll give you a gorazilliondillion dollars if you have the Omu map done before my next session, in 24 hours from now.

So I have 15h XD? No need for money. I am indeed working on the issue.
But lets do the following, send me a dm with the exact maps and the session time and I will try to make it, maybe without the extra info (the rhombus entries).
Edit: the contributor issue is taking way more time than I expected, is indeed working now but hard to add entries. At first I was planning to only add console to make entries. But that would be no even close to user friendly. Later I changed to a form. So now is just missing a way to export/import those extra refs, and maybe an easy way to see the info to fill the form (like the map coords, image name, ids...). Probably I will finish this weekend.
Also there is a new permission "download" that is related with a new yet secret feature, more info soon. But with the new permission a reenable of the extension is required. Sorry for that.
@dropbear8mybaby just saw that your location (Ballarat) is from Australia is that right? Well when you see this just check the map if something is wrong or missing crucial info. I added the area references (squares) and map to map ones (circles). The extra info ones (rhombus) are not added since they would require a deep reading of the adventure.

Holy crap! I was only (partially) joking because I love the feature so much and lament that I can't use it in ToA. But thank you so much! That is worthy of a knighthood!

You sir deserve serious recognition.
I'll be using this sometime soon and the work you've done is seriously impressive. If there were better ways to give recognition I've not yet found you'd deserve it.

Thanks! A little late on the reply, but I've find a solution for this one. The next version will have it. So when you copy and paste to rich text container it will work the same, if it is not a rich text it will only paste the link.

Thanks for the feedback! I am glad I can give something back to D&D community, that only is enough. Well share the extension with your DM/players. Also if you find out any bugs or cool features to add just comment here or send me a PM. That for sure will help!
Updates:
The extra map references is almost done. And is the first feature that allows contributors with export/import features (more to come). So users can make map info packs and share here. I imagine that in the future we will have DM guilds adventures, or maybe homebrew of some sort. This feature will allow even the adventure creator make the map info pack and give it with the adventure. Also after the storage buff (info bellow) it will be possible to add a feature to add custom comments on maps (not only point to info on compendium page).
For the roadmap, lately I took some time researching another methods for storing data. The current default one (that is synchronized between devices) is almost non existent (only 100KB). This is a wall for so many cool features. So before diving on them I will have to fix this first. Inevitably it will require an account of some sort (maybe google drive, not sure yet). But I will try my best to make this optional/transparent so it enables the data heavy features if enabled, but not required.
New version 0.12.0 is out! Your chromes should update it soon (check browsing chrome://extensions/). If you guys want to force it, fully close all your chrome windows and open it again.
Changes:
Fixes after character sheet revamp;
Compendium References now works on non rich-text editors (as a plain link text);
New feature: Play-by-post Notes!
Huge thanks to Gludington (also on github) the author of this feature;
Collapsible area on play-by-post threads of D&D Beyond forum that enables adding private notes related with the campaign;
All data can be seen, deleted, downloaded on the extension configuration page;
Attention: The notes are persisted on the local machine (not synchronized between devices) and are erased if the extension is removed from chrome.
This may have been listed somewhere earlier in the thread (or in the changelog) but what is the maximum number of creatures that can be added into the encounters tracker? At first I thought it just wasn't working but I imagine I hit the cap (I was making encounters for everything in the Lost Mine of Phandelver). Just a curiousity at this point, I just have to remove a couple random bits for a future adventure.
Second question, is there any way to adjust the cap or is it more a limitation on how much data the extension can have access to?

Yes there is a cap indeed. The cap for sync storage of chrome extensions is only 100kb (long time ago I tested for around 100 monster entries, but now should be even less). I can change to local storage but that has also a down side, like if you for some reason lose your chrome installation or SO all data is lost. Also the data is not synchronized between devices.
Also If I change to local storage probably I will add an option to export/import encounters. Another alternative I am researching is change to external cloud storage. For both I need also to stop storing the monster max hp (to avoid ToS problems)
Well there are some options, and probably this is the next issue I will tackle, so for now there is not an easy way to solve that besides deleting old encounters XD.
Thank you for the response, I mean I was just using idle time to have dozens of encounters prepped. I can live within limits, I really don't need encounters prepped potentially months in advance. Just one of those things where I got in the mood to get as much prep work out of the way.
Still love your extension, so bloody handy.

Any news on the contributor front? My players are almost done with Dwellers of the Forbidden City and are most likely heading into the Fane of the Night Serpent soon, or the first level of the tomb.

Oh, also, is it possible for the extension to add the tooltips to maps that aren't in a lightbox? Like, for instance, this map (spoiler for Tomb of Annihilation):
I know it's been a little while since the last post, but thank you so much for this! It seems like a lot of good additions - I was linked for the character sorting, but I've sent this to my GMs too and will almost certainly use traits within my own game(s) (when I get around to them!)
