“I agree, we need to get on the trail of the thief’s as soon as possible, but riding in the dark, especially with no spare horses and people who cannot see in the dark is asking for trouble. I suggest we get up just before dawn so we can set out at first light.”
As to the necklace, I have no interest in it, do with it as you wish.
Mills is already heading for the inn. "Now then... Who wants to follow the mayor, and who wants to go keep an eye on who tries to leave town tonight? Folks who were involved will be scurrying like cockroaches."
Gor nods in agreement. "I can shift into a house pet...I have seen a cat or 2 roaming about. It should seem normal for a cat to be laying around. Cats seem to be customary here as is the same where I am from."
Gor a cat wearing bears teeth would be epic. Do that one.
Lucky turns to Zanoth. What's the play big guy? I vote option 3 get drunk and see what the unwashed masses at the party knows, but I'll follow your lead friend.
Zanoth, Drax and Lucky headed back to Aaris' Silver Feather with the strong conviction that they'd already done well more than their mandate for one evening. Eeneri set the three up with all the food and drink they wanted, and let them know the Eorl's suite was still reserved for them, whenever they felt like bedding down for the night. Lucky traipsed about the inn's common room carousing, playing cards and dice, and listening to rumors. It didn't take long for the news about Vivi to become the hot topic of local gossip. As happens with such things, the rumors quickly destroyed the truth in a wake of exaggerated imagination. Some people thought Vivi was a dragon in disguise, or that she'd had sex with a dragon and now carried one of the dragonborn inside her. Others thought she had been manipulated by some woodland dryad, winter nymph, or evil necromancer. Regardless the rumors soon swirled so vibrantly that the real truth became boring in comparison.
Meanwhile Mills did his best to try and track down any of Vivi's accomplices, but with so much foot traffic in the snowy and muddy streets of Hyssop Ridge because of the Winter's Feast festivities, that task was all but impossible. So after giving it much more effort by lamplight than he probably should have, Mills too went to The Silver Feather to end the night with some free fare and beverages.
Last to arrive at the inn was Gor. He informed the group that he trailed Mayor Bercha around town disguised as a stray tomcat, and everything he saw spoke to the mayor's innocence. The first place he went was the temple, and a few minutes after going there, Gor saw four armed acolytes leave and go purposefully about town two by two. His best guess was they were looking for the other widows, and he imagined, as they lived in town with them, they'd have a much better time attempting to find them. His suspicions proved right later, when those same temple guards returned to the town hall with three other women bound and in tow. Vivi had said there were five of them all together, which meant one had been able to escape capture. Gor knew that didn't bode well, but there was little to be done about it now. These town dwellers had a much better chance of locating their own. The reason Gor had been at the town hall, where Vivi was still in the iron cage, was because Mayor Bercha had done exactly what he'd said he was going to do. He brought Rivu the high priestess of the temple there and they questioned Vivi under the compulsion of magical truth. Gor as pleased to hear Vivi tell them all of the same details she'd given to his companions when they questioned her. Seeing that all seemed to be in order, and that the night was quickly wasting away, Gor then transformed back to his humanoid form and, that's when he went to The Silver Feather to join his comrades and inform them of all he'd seen and heard.
So at the end of the night, it seemed that the best course of action was what they had thought to do anyway, wait until morning, get their newly purchased horses from Radill's livery, and head northwest into the mountains to see if they could pick up any signs of the dragonborn party, or the party of four that left the inn in haste that morning to see what their involvement in these matters might be. Thus the night ended with the group spread out about Aaris' Eorl's suite on the bed, couches, chairs and floor falling comfortably and fast asleep.
(OOC: I wanted to make sure that there was nothing else anybody wanted to get from town in terms of supplies before the group heads out into the wilderness. It's entirely possible that you won't be back near any civilization for quite some time, so if there are any supplies you think you might need, now is the time. If so, feel free to purchase whatever you'd like from the Adventuring Gear table in the PHB through the inventory of your character sheet, and just make sure to let me know what you picked up in the private message chat for this campaign.)
After topping up provisions for the travel, Zanoth gets a good nights sleep ready to set out at first light tomorrow.

How Lucky is able to drown as much alcohol as he does and still get up happy and smiling at the same time as everyone else escapes reason, but he does. The group of adventurers tasked with retrieving Feorac's heirloom amulet, an amulet they now realized was more ancient than anyone in the Dagrest family ever knew, met for one last free, hot, hearty meal in The Silver Feather's common room before they headed over to Radill's stables to pack up their four horses and head out into the wilderness in chase of evil. While they ate, Eeneri, who was the one cooking and serving them, said, "Seems like you lot have accomplished enough in a few days to have earned you troupe a name. Can't just keep calling you, 'that group of outsiders,' now can we?" She stood for a moment, arms crossed on top of her breasts, thinking. "What about The Outlanders, eh? It's got a nice ring. If you can't come up with something better, that's what I'm gonna call y'all at least." With that Aaris gorgeous wife with the honey-blond hair, statuesque body, and piercing ice-blue eyes went back to her duties.
Radill had the four horses bridled, saddled, and ready to go by the time the group appeared at his livery. "Dusk, Thunder, Star, and Dawn are all ready for you." He said, as he handed over the reins to the four large, black haired, shaggy-footed horses. Star and Dawn both had a large patch of white hair right on their chest below the neck, but other than that all the horses looked almost identical. After Zanoth climbed up on his horse he reached down and hefty Lucky up into the saddle behind him. Mills climbed up into the saddle easy as walking, but both Gor and Drax, having never actually ridden a horse before, had a bit of trouble figuring out the proper sequence of movements to get up on such huge beasts. Lucky laughed, but Zanoth gave him a sharp elbow, which silenced him quickly. Mills explained things slowly and well, and Radill helped where he was able. Finally, less than an hour after Amryn's bright yellow-orange ball of glowing fire breached the eastern horizon, the group was on the road west.
It was a beautiful day to travel, bright high sun, only a few puffy white clouds breaking up the beauty of the azure sky, and no cold biting wind to sap the heat. Mills took the fore of the riders as he kept his eyes on the ground below and the land ahead for any signs of recent travelers. While this bit of frontier road was by no means well traveled, it also wasn't entirely empty, so discerning among the groups of humanoid tracks wasn't easy. At least until one set of tracks broke off from the road and headed north, following a game trail up and over a ridge into the evergreen forest. After getting off of his horse and taking a close inspection of the prints, Mills was fairly certain that those that left the trail were a group of four humanoids, all wearing boots. If it was the group that so hastily exited Aaris' inn the morning before, it might be worth following along to see if they could surveil who they were and possibly get reconnaissance about who they were, where they were going, and why.
The group agreed, and so they turned off the road following the narrow trail through the woods for the rest of the daylight hours. As twilight began to transform to dusk, the group agreed that they'd need to find a suitable spot to camp for the night, so they did a bit of spreading out and combing the nearby forest for a good, hidden, defensible spot to bed down.
(OOC: After you all finish leveling up, let's get some Survival rolls. Also, if there's anything else you'd care to do that you think might help gather information, go ahead and post that as well.)
Zanoth looked at Eeneri and failed to hear a word she was saying… it had been an age…
<Something about names, but he would leave that to when they were on the trail.. Lucky was sure to bring it up.>
He enjoyed the day in the saddle… something about the smell of the fresh air and horse manure. It had been many years since he’d been forced to eat his last horse.. but it had helped him get away from, and then fed him on his escape from Thgol’d’rak. He’d not been able to afford one since, but it seemed their luck was changing, and he had no intention of giving this one back to the surely oaf in the stables.
Whilst not formally trained in camp making he did his best to help (21 ).
Lucky wakes up feeling great. It's the first time in a while he has been able to eat and drink to his heart (and stomach's) content. Walking down stairs.

Later on the road.
So what yall think about the outlanders think it's a bit outlandish myself but it does have a certain ring to it.

Mills scratches his head. "That's a lot better than what came to me... I was thinkin' - since I'm guiding you folks through some o' this- that I'd go with something with my name in it. But that just leads to gettin' called Mills' Marauders and that sounds like we're bandits... So yeah, Outlanders is just fine."
Gor looks around for wild berries and other roots and things that he could add to make a soup for the group. "Outlanders....It'll do. I suppose this means we are mercenaries? Where I come from we have only a few of these types of bands to capture anyone who happens to land on our island, or the occasional rampaging giant clan, trolls, etc."
