As the party readies itself, two savage shapes come out of the shadows among some trees. They resemble pitch bluish black pumas, but as they approach and their eyes shine by reflecting the few light sources the explorers are holding, a pair of powerful black tentacles sprouting from their shoulder can be seeing slowly waving, as if detecting their surroundings with an unknown sense. These are tipped with horney edges that look like the catching tentacles of a squid. Getting one of those stuck to one's skin must be very painful...
Initiative order is as follows:
Major (20)
Stribog (17)
Cassiel (16)
Lerithyn (15)
Displacer Beasts (14)
Ra'sakar (11)
Aukan (11)
Ilmo (8)
Sorgen (5)
Guys, Omega has volunteered on carrying the encounter for me, as my time is very limited until after Easter. Also, as encounters by PbP are always challenging to me, please help him as you can, and if you agree to it, he may be in charge of running the encounters (or maybe we can take turns among us all, if someone wants to try). Thank you all for understanding!
Cassiel gives into Adriel anger and a black rapier appears in his left hand.
At the same time Barachiel whisper in his mind: Those are Displacer Beasts, killers by pleasure, they can mask their position with illusion and be wary of the tentacles!
Cassiel straightens his posture feeling secure with his blade in hand, he turns to his companions and say: Those are Displacer Beasts, be wary of the tentacles and know that they mask their exact position with illusions. To arms!!!
I rolled an Int (Arcana) check to know those information Arcana Check
Lerithyn begins stepping back slowly, aiming his cannon at the displacer beast who's true position has been revealed. He keeps the beast in his sights, his trigger finger sparking with electricity. Everyone around him begins to get goosebumps as the air's electrons begin to displace. Focusing his energy on the pull of a trigger, the cannon seems to explode in a blast of energy followed by a deafening thunder clap.
As Ra'sakar's hands become coated with psionic energy, he leaps into action. He follows Major to attack the already damaged Displacer, swiping his hands to form blades from the psionic energy, then leaping onto the beast, driving one of the blades towards the beast's skull as he leaps on [Attack roll 14]. Missing the skull, he manages to strike near the base of its neck, overloading some nerves, hopefully connected to one of the beast's tentacles [Damage roll 11]. As he lands on the beast's back and spins around, he notices something behind Lerithyn [Perception check 19]. Two more displacer beasts skulking towards the rear flank of the group through the Jungle. In response, he unleashes a wave of thought to all allies, warning them in a calm manner.
Two more approach us from behind. Be wary. Especially you, Lerithyn. They're right close to you.

Sorgen feels a rush of adrenaline pumping through his being like few times before in his life. This was the stuff of the expeditions of his father and he was neck-deep in it. A marvelous, and just as dangerous beast was in front of him, ferocious, Cassiel was already hit by it, but three more of them were in melee with the predator. The other beast took more of a beating, although he couldn't be sure how much she was close to death. The beast was clearly in a bad condition and he stopped thinking when he realized that: he could go for his first Zendikarian kill..!
Surprising everyone (like he desperately wanted to), and following his patron's ways, Sorgen shielded himself in the blink of an eye with an aura seemingly made of a throng of minuscule stars, like a miniature version of the whole of Syberis.
Protected, and threatening, in this fashion, he dashed through the undergrowth with unnatural ease, and coming dangerously close to the wounded beast, he unleashed the fury of his signature magical attack, delivering it with his trusty whip.
[OOC: 23 after Advantage! http://dice.brainclouds.net/Result.aspx?ID=QXYNNBYM ]
The elegance of the attack was admirable, but at the end of that acrobatic maneuver with a touch of arcane, nothing but a thin bloody line opened up on the muzzle of the feline-like creature, although a shimmering mantle of energy that appeared around it was foreboding of dire consequences for the beast, if it moved past those nearly invisible borders.
[OOC: 4 damage, 6 more if beast moves before end of next turn http://dice.brainclouds.net/Result.aspx?ID=DLG6A7GA ]
Before even checking the condition of his quarry, Sorgen stepped back witha flourishing move, again baffling in its disregard of the difficulty of the terrain. He kept a distance from himself and the beast that allowed his starry aura to engulf it: another threat for the survival of the creature.
[OOC: 3 radiant damage if the creature ends its turn within 10 ft of Sorgen. Also, Sorgen stays exactly at 10 ft from the creature.]
Ra'sakar's telepathic voice blasts through the ringing in Lerithyn's ears and he swirls around to see two more displacer beasts nearby. The writhing tentacles may be close enough to reach him, but he has to make a move. Slinging his cannon Lerithyn bounds up the largest tree nearby with ease. From branch to branch he makes his way higher and higher with uncanny speed. His fingers move deftly once he's found his first perch, clicking, strumming, and turning his puzzlebox in one hand and focusing his arcane strength. A shimmering shield of energy begins to ripple around Cassius, blasting away anything that gets near enough to touch his skin. He then moves again, from one branch to another and from tree to tree until he finds a stable perch above the combat closer to his allies.
As Cassiel feels the protection Lerithyn threw at him it helps him to control Adriel anger and instead of letting him get in control, Cassiel uses that repressed anger to allow Abyssal fire to spill at the creature (reaction 2nd level Hellish Rebuke DC 13).
Now, with the creature in front of him Cassiel strikes at it with his rapier made of the pure hatred and chaos that Adriel represent: Disadvantage: 19/16 attack 9 piercing damage(in the damage roll I used the wrong bonus, it is not +6 it is +3 so the damage is 6+3, sorry).
And Cassiel finishes his action moving around the creature to leave it between him and the other two.
Stribog, noticing the other 2 beasts by Lerithyn, backs away from the beast in front of him. Wind begins to swirl around him as he is lifted up in the air (10 ft up). A surge of lightening travels down his left arm to his fist condensing into a bluish glow. Stribog then cast the energy forming 3 darts of energy into the air. The darts seek out their targets one being the beast in front of him (3 dmg) and the other 2 going for the beasts by Lerithyn. Each beast is struck with the darts (4 dmg on #3, and 2 dmg on #4Magic missile)!
While in the air, Stribog focuses his energy. Lightening travels down his arms to his hands. Inhaling deeply he out stretches his hands left over right opening his eyes Stribog shoots, "By Fire be Purged!" A ball of flame forms in front of his palm then explodes into 2 rays of fire. One striking the beast by Aukan, Major, Ra'sakar(4 Fire dmg) the other directly in front of him! (11 Fire dmgScorching Ray)
After taking that blow Major imediatly steps back into action with another attack
To hit 1d20 + 5 = 10 the blade misses the beast and swings back around for another hit (riposte maneuver - reaction) to hit 1d20 + 5 = 8 the blade swings wide again.
Major takes a step back to calm down regaining 5 hit points (second wind)
Ra'sakar, still on the beast, is breifly disconcerted by the redisplacement of the beast. He strikes at it with his left blade again, landing a solid blow, even with the displacement in effect [Attack roll (w/ disadvantage 19], though he misses the nerve cluster he was aiming for, only hitting a handful of nerves [Damage roll 6]. As he does so, he changes the energy emanating from his right hand into a shield like structure [Bonus Action to parry, +2 to AC, AC now equals 20].
