Check out M.T. Black's work. The sort of compendiums that he releases that have a years worth of stories are really nice.
They make it perfect for when my homebrew get's stuck or I have writers block with the different levels. Say I get stuck at level 5, they have an adventure that I can plug and play really easy. But at the same time if I wanted to use only his content he has it set up to work that way. Honestly the freedom is really what I think people want.
I am a big fan of managing players upon the micro level. I really enjoyed work that expanded upon things that seemed of little concern in the DM's guide, namely Disease and Poison.

Exactly this! I love new one shot adventures that I can integrate into my campaign. If my players are heading to a completely different town that I haven't prepared, I can throw an integrated one-shot adventure at them as they travel from point A to point B so I can have everything prepared next session. Such content saves a lot of time that I can spend developing other things in my world. Evil things. Amazing things.
I really appreciate it when a person takes something in the game and gives it their own twist. Such as a creature, giving different versions of it, or items and creating unique "guides" to using them. I just love seeing someone else's take on a certain aspect of the game that is already currently being used.
Settings WotC isn't focused on (i.e. everything but FR lmao) always draw my eye to see if I like the way someone interprets converting those settings to 5e.
Personally, I'd like to see some more DM Companions for modules. I'd really love to see something for PotA that has all the NPCs from the village in one place. Perhaps cards with their basic descriptions, what they know and what they do. It'd be a massive help.

If you love a character, you give them pain, ruin their lives, make them suffer. Maybe even throw in a heroic death.
I posted an adventure on the DMs Guild site in August of last year.
I'm charging very little for it (or so I think!) at $1.
Out of curiosity, are you seeing decent returns? A.K.A Is the effort worth it? While this was directly quoting you - is anyone else? I am curious what the market looks like, as I have a bunch of home-brew stuff, but like the OP, I am wondering if it is worth the effort to take the notes to PDF with all the dressing.
Higher level campaigns/adventures . To my knowledge forgotten realms has officially posted no adventures that goes beyond level 15. Would love to see and gladly pay for more end game modules
One shots to incorporate into my campaign, new character options, random tables… I've bought a little of everything but well-written adventures are where it's at. I second the work of MT Black. He's incredible.

I'm a twice-Platinum content creator on DMG. In my experience the returns have been more than enough to cover the cost of playing the game the way my group likes to play it - miniatures, Dwarven Forge, and other fancy doodads. Take that as you will.
The most popular products I've seen are class and race expansions. Adventures sell as well, but I think there are more people out there that can write their own homebrew adventures than those who want to take the time to study 5e's balance and design with that in mind.
Title says it all! :)
I'm a creative sort of person, and the DMs Guild really appeals to me. I just want to balance access and the necessary effort put into it!
Let me know what you have demand for at the DMs Guild!
Personally, I don't mind paying a little for any type of new content. Given that it is well tested and balanced, and that it looks nice.

Happy to answer any questions for you, Parzival_Ren, or anyone!
Lots of great author anecdotes out there on people's personal blogs and such as well!

Hey Stashravens!
The returns have not been enough to supplement my income.
However, I definitely encourage everyone to post content there.
It has been a positive experience.

In general I think that the core books provide a good base for the game. It's the creativity of the DM that makes the game work.
I think the giant growth of supplements in 3&3.5 made the game more about special characters and less about the rich narrative that D&D can provide.
Long time player. Started with basic, and played AD&D, 2nd edition, 3rd edition, and the D&D killer 4th.
After that I took some time off, like many others. I'm hoping 5th can make D&D great again.
I've got stuff for sale on RPGNOW and so on, but nothing yet on the dmsguild. I hope to change that soon.
I'm curious about doing some things on it too.
