1. I started with the Acolyte background and modified it so that instead of giving a holy symbol it will either give you a wand or choose from a list of wands (depending on how part 2 goes). Item type wand is not among the options. Is there a way to accomplish either of these things?
2. I'd like to make a "Wand of Cantrip" that lets you choose a cantrip and forever more it will cast just that cantrip for you. If not, I guess I could make a wand for each Cantrip and let the user pick one of them in part 1 (if that would work).
2a. But even when I manually add the wand (since the part 1 background won't add it automatically) let's say it's a Wand of Frostbite then neither Frostbite nor Wand of Frostbite show up in the attacks section.
Anyone have any suggestions?
sub note: The homebrew system is so far very much a disappointment. It's super frustrating and confusing. Just fail after fail down many branches of fail.
My only suggestion is to either not give out a magic item as part of a background, or go whole-hog and make every background come with a magic item.

If you compare it to the alternative (which is these tools deliberately not having any home-brew functionality at all), you might find yourself less disappointed by it.
Homebrew does not work with other homebrew. I can not make a magic item with my homebrew spells or make a racial feat for a homebrew race. You can also not attach magic items to a background. You can give them an arcane focus (wand).

What I'm trying to do is at least a 2 parter ...

1. Wand probably only shows up under "arcane focus".
2. You'll probably have to wait for the spell scroll update.
2a. Frostbite won't show up in the attacks section of the character sheet by default because it doesn't use an attack roll.
