FYI-Your app keeps crashing on me and yes it’s the latest version. And ever since you added this dice log your incredibly, ridiculously, unbearably slow dice roller has gotten even slower. Youse all really have to find a way to let us drop the animation and just get the results because it is faster to pull physical dice out, roll them, and put them away again than it is to use your dice roller.
I have never had a problem with the dice roller. Is this a consistent problem for you, or is it sporadic?
Constant for me and all of my players. And basically everyone else I talk to besides you apparently. Before it would take too long and I would have the answer calculated and verbalized before the results box even pops up. Now I’ve rolled real dice and moved on before the animation even happens anymore. When it takes 20 seconds to get a result of 1d20 with Advantage it is ridiculous. Combat has basically ground to a halt and everyone starts whipping out their math rocks again.
I don’t understand how DDB can charge money for digital dice skins when the digital dice aren’t even worth rolling.
Works like a champ for me as well, just to add more perspectives. App and desktop.
In the browser, it was initially slow for me and I also felt they were worthless. Enabling Hardware Acceleration has them running smooth. Now they're fun.

That’s useless to me as a Safari user on iPad.
Just trying it out now, on my phone screen the boxes are not fully showing on screen they are off chopping off a few words on left or right depending on if its my roll or another players.
Would share a screen shot but cant work out how to get the picture in
That kind of sounds like a browser issue. I’ve always used Chrome on my Windows PC and I have never had a problem. The rolling works fine on my player app on my iPhone Xs as well. Might be worth trying another browser.
I tested on iOS/iPadOS/macOS Safari and on the iOS/iPadOS native app. Works perfectly. As for the hardware, 2013 MacBook Air, 2015 iMac 5k, iPhone 8, iPad Pro 11".
It's probably something on your end.
It works fine on my computer, but thats busy running Teams and I need to save battery while I have my laptop downstairs so I can't use it for DDB. I'm the DM and build some NPCs as PCs. If someone can't make it I have to roll for them too. Whenever I have two or more character sheets open at one in different tabs it goes gonk on me. So then I tried having them open on different devices and gonk. So then I finally capitulated and downloaded the gorram app (I detest downloading 3rd party apps, I don't trust them) and that's not terrible until the app crashes every three rolls. And that app sucks battery life like a damphir sucks necks.
And it's not just me either. I hear my players click and have to wait and wait and waiittt for their answers. And they're all using different browsers on different devices.
I too find the dice rolling way too slow. I tried to use the dice roller for rolling stats for a character. Ended up using real dice as I could roll the full set of 6 stats (including the math to add up the numbers) by the time the digital dice could finish the second roll.
This is excellent! Combined with the link to Avrae allowing the rolls to show in both places this is going to make our games so much easier to run. Thank you!
It also happens with chrome if you have hardware acceleration off and you don't have a processor that has integrated graphics... But then again, if you have a processor without integrated graphics, your system is either ancient, or you probably are savvy enough to figure it out.
Dice rolling works flawlessly for me and my party loves being able to see everyone elses rolls pop up!
Supposedly there's Avrae integration with the game log? I can't figure out how to make that show up. My Avrae rolls in discord use my character and I've created an dndbeyond encounter with that character and it's actively running, but my dndbeyond rolls for things like "quarterstaff attack" don't show in avrae, and my avrae rolls don't show up in dndbeyond.
EDIT: I founnd it. Need to use the Avrae command !campaign
That's weird. I've never had a problem on any of my devices. The very first roll took maybe 3 seconds to roll. Since then, though, it's been great. Sometimes my son likes to goof off and roll like 100 at a time and it barely even slows a second for that. Yeah, I wouldn't hate dropping the animation as an option but then I don't like PRNGs anyhow so I only tend to roll on DDB when I'm feeling fiddly.
100 at a time? Sure. Now try to roll 4d6 (drop 1) 6 times in a row for creating a character. There's a forced waiting time between rolls that makes this grind almost to a halt.
On the character builder? Like, when you choose "Manual/Rolled"? It easily makes those rolls pretty quickly. I mean, you have to wait for the animation to finish each time but it's only maybe 3 seconds, max. For 6 stats, I don't think 18 seconds (at most) is really grinding to a halt.
Works for me fine once i realised what was going wrong on my computer and tablets. Now rolling just fine.
Safari... Theres your problem...
Ddb design for chrome mainly and chrome aka google wants everything for themselves. Thus beyond works better on chrome then any other browsers.
Of course they will design for the 80% who uses android. They cant be developping for all 4 browsers and hope for compatibility when google is making sure html5 is theres only with their exclusivity.
Also most of those who cry about are using beyond20 and thats the problem... Beyond 20 needs to be on page when rolling dice. That means you have to wait on beyond before your rolls appears on foundry or roll 20. To solve that you literally have to disable beyond dice in the beyond 20 extension.
What i got are not people crying about beyond dice... But about an extension that is not even theirs to manage.
Hardware acceleration did nothing for me. Still pretty slow.
