I did get my pre-order copy through a gift, will I be receiving those perks too? 🥺
I just loved the dice.
I just want the dice from this book but I don't want to spend $30 for a single pair of dice.
Will there be more dice with interesting "on crit" effects like the Everlasting Rime blizzard effect?
And more importantly, will we get per character dice selection so I can theme my dice to my character without having to swap sets every time I play?
I preordered before this announcement, at least that's what the page says
Those dices looks awesome and I can imagine a animated version of the Pen and Paper one, a shame that isn't one of the animated one.
Looking forward to using those and a bit sad that I went with Ravenloft for my DM instead of this (oh well they was happy for Ravenloft)
Catch me pondering the orbs of the color wheel.
Redeemed a gifted preorder today and I didn't get the rewards and my friend who gifted it didn't get the gift-wrapped dice.
That's a really commonly asked for thing that (from my understanding) they've implied that they're working on in their discord!
Just allow me to buy the pre-order bonuses please. Straight up losing money by not doing it.
Hi there,
Just to clarify, what happens with those fans who have preordered Stixhaven, before this announcement? Will they also get these perks?
Thanks
Yes.
The purpose of this post is to show people what they get for Pre-order Strixhaven.
In the top of the message, it says to go to your account settings and click "sync my entitlements, maybe try that.
So... this is the pre-order for the DIGITAL copy only, correct? Is there a pre-order for the physical book, and if so, are there any perks for doing that?
I'm old fashioned and like something in my hands... clicked pre-order, was about to check out and then saw the little red text saying it's digital only, and I won't get a physical book. Instantly removed it from the cart.
Do you even sell physical copies/preorders here or should Amazon be my store (and here be my $2.00 need list for spells)? Not being rude... just don't see dropping 30-50 bucks on an online-only copy and then having to buy it again because I missed a checkbox somewhere for a combo or whatever if there is one.
...
Then it is indeed an awesome day under the watchful eyes of the Seldarine 🙂
Those dice! 😯
Oooh! I didn't know I needed this until just now!
Yeah DND Beyond only ever sells digital copies. Because my players are online I usually get the digital copy here and then I get a hard copy If I really like it(mostly source books but a rare adventure here and there). I love knowing I have the info at a moment's notice no matter how it's accessed but I still love that feel of a book in my hands. Maybe one day we will see an opportunity to have both but for now, Amazon usually offers a decent price.
I've already checked there. It keeps telling me that I'm all synced.
You're correct in that DDB only sells digital copies at all. It's nice to help keep things organized, use digital sheets you don't have to edit with pen and paper every session, and cut down on storage. And especially useful for allowing folks to play online instead of in person if needed.
This is also why the products tend to be significantly cheaper than buying physical copies. Also, you don't have to worry about "missing a checkbox" - you can buy the book as a whole OR go through and buy parts piece by piece, and if you do the latter you get a discount proportioned for how much of the book you already own. You will save more money if you buy the whole book from the get go, in the long run, but still.
All that said, I'd recommend finding a local game store instead of Amazon if you can! They need all the support they can get and once you find one you tend to be able to find a good community for gaming with. :)
