You are a practitioner of medicinal arts and have gained a thorough understanding of the natural world. Maybe you studied the trade under a mentor or perhaps your communion with the wild granted you its' understanding. Either way, your understanding of life has propelled you in becoming an adventurer.
- Skill Proficiencies: Nature and Medicine or Religion.
- Tool Proficiencies: Either an Herbalism Kit or Alchemist's Supplies.
- Languages: Choose any one standard language of your choice.
- Equipment: 1 Herbalism Kit or 1 set of Alchemist's Supplies, a Healer's Kit, a book filled with anatomical sketches of various creatures, a quill and inkwell, a doctor's outfit and a coin purse filled with 5 gp.
Your wealth of knowledge with medicine allows you to draw conclusions over a patient's problems by simply talking with them. If you communicate with a creature for 10 minutes, you can make an Intelligence (Nature) check to identify any disease, lasting injury or condition the creature may be undergoing, with the DC being determined by the DM. If you are able to successfully identify the disease, condition or injury, any Wisdom (Medicine) checks made to treat it are made at advantage. If you fail to identify the disease, condition or injury, nothing happens.

Not all Practitioners follow suit to try to cure people and instead delve into understanding the aspects of the dead. Perhaps you are a member of an order that sanctifies and holds rituals for the dead or maybe you hold a dark curiosity that most would find revolting. Either way, your knowledge over the dead is indisputable.
You know of the practices and principles for the dead and notice the details that most would overlook. You can tell if a corpse has been prepared in any way and can tell how a corpse died and the injuries it sustained before its' death, up to the DM's discretion. Additionally, if the corpse has been dead within 1 day of your notice, you can tell how long ago it died to the nearest half hour. If the corpse has been dead within 1 month, you can tell how long ago it died to the nearest day. If the corpse has been dead within 1 year, you can tell how long ago it died to the nearest month. Finally, if the corpse has been dead exceeding 1 year, you can tell how long ago it died to the nearest year.
