For some reason that you can elaborate, you end up in a temple in the middle of the mountains or hidden in the woods, or buried in plain sight in the middle of a city, the old masters of the temple took care of you and trained your mind and your body. You were taught to live in compass with the elements and keep the balance of life and nature right in the middle. You perform rituals and meditation to focus your mind and channel your soul, you became a traditionalist customs keeper.
Choose a god, a pantheon of gods, or other divinity, and work with your DM to determine the relation of the Old Temple with that God.
Were you an Old trouble maker that was found by the masters and taken to the temple to be trained? Or a running lost person that found himself in the middle of the mountains until he found the temple? Or you don't have any other memory than being in this temple since you remember? Try to figure out how you ended up in the temple.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose two skill proficiencies of your preference from the list. Base this on your back story temple main focus, for instance, if your temple is dedicated to nature and wilderness select the Survival and Animal Handling skills
- Tool Proficiencies: Select any of the listed crafting tools. You are taught in the temple to the use of any of the listed arts.
- Languages: Any language of your choice from the list. In the temple, you are taught about some forbidden and forgotten languages.
- Equipment: A Quarterstaff, representative of the temple, even if you don't want to be a monk, a tattoo the size of your back with the temple logo. A forehead small version of it. The tools you are proficient with, and materials to work some, and also a pouch with 15 GP.
Once per day, you can close your eyes, concentrate and channel your will to cure your own wounds.
You can Immediately spend one of your hit die plus your constitution modifier to recover some of your HP. You can't use this feat is you don't have hit dice available.
Suggested Characteristics
The temples are usually dedicated to fulfilling the gap on your soul or connect yourself with the elements or different planar existences. Most of the temples are dedicated to the good, but that doesn't mean you are a good person, tho, the most common alignment will be Good to Neutral, and usually in a lawful way.
