At some point, for some reason, you left where ever it is you came from. Whether by choice or some other reason, you can never return. You’ve taken to the road and traveling place to place. In your travels, you’ve acquired a number of skills to help you get by. You’ve done innumerable odd jobs to cover your room and board and you’ve learned to make yourself valuable virtually anywhere. Due to your living conditions and traveling, you’ve met and are comfortable rubbing shoulders with all types and you know how to ‘speak their language’ so to speak. 

As with everything else, you’ll have no trouble fitting in with an Adventuring party and your comfort with the open road will undoubtedly be a valuable comfort to your companions.
