You have served as a Marine Engineer for years, sailing around the world on many ships and fighting on many battlefields. As a Marine your primary duties were to act as security for merchant vessels or act as boarding parties when attached to military ships. When on land Marine Engineers would act as reconnaissance forces and support for the mainline troops. Marine engineers supported other troops by destroying or creating obstacles they found on their previous recon missions.  Marines are looked up to by other soldiers and respected by their superiors. They are veteran warriors who rarely lose composure on the battlefield.  Marine Engineers have access to the spell Hammer Strike. This spell converts a weapons base damage to bludgeoning damage and does additional force damage. This spell is equally useful on doors as well as foes.

Spell List

Hammer Strike

Starting at 2nd level, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal force damage to the target, in addition to the weapon’s damage. Whatever the weapon's damage, it is converted to bludgeoning damage. The extra damage is 4d4 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 2d4 for each spell level higher than 1.
