You were haunted all your life by dreams, visions, and voices in your head telling you to do things you knew were wrong. These things caused you to be extremely erratic, acting on a whim, never giving much thought to your actions. The family and friends around you wrote it off as youthfulness. As you grow out of your adolescence the voices and visions become worse, you start acting out whether that be on the people around you or the animals. Even going as far as to kill them. You steal, lie, and cheat, anything to make the voices stop. You are touched with madness and darkness.
- Skill Proficiencies: Proficiency in (choose 2) survival, arcana, investigation, or survival.
- Tool Proficiencies: Equipment Monster Hunter's Pack, a set of common clothes, one trinket of special significance (choose one or roll on the Gothic Trinkets table)
- Languages: Abyssal, given due to the fact that most likely demons, devils, and dark gods are talking to the child in abyssal.
Being experienced in the things of darkness but also knowing what is good. When people speak to you, you get a sense of whether what they are saying is good or evil. If they have the intention to wrong you or if they are giving you solid advice. (gives the character passive insight)
Suggested Characteristics
Children of Darkness may have done some horrifying things as a child but, that doesn't mean they have to follow the voices in their heads. Children of Darkness seem to have a good sense of the room leading them to be surprisingly charismatic when need be. They tend to cling to the good things in life, looking for any reason to prove the demons in their head wrong. They know the duality of man all too well making them untrusting of those around them.
