You have a knack of creating weapons and armor due to how much of your life you have spent around the forge or smiths. You have a knack for the metalworking, you understand the magic infusion of magical weapons, and you know how to create the toughest of weapons and armors.

You can endure the heat of the forge since you have spent a lot of time smithing and forging items (and/or magical items). It is a skill that has been passed down from generations of smiths and spellsmiths. You have endured hours of smithing and scavenging for materials that are needed to create the perfect item. Your time of the forge is calling you out into the world to gather the best materials, find the hardest metal, the strongest essence, in order for you to create the perfect weapon.

Skill Proficiencies: You are proficient in Investigation and Nature.
Tool Proficiencies: You gain proficiency in any artisan tools.
Equipment: A set of artisan's tools (Tinker's tools) and a bag for material components needed for crafting items.

Feature: Smith Sense

You know how a forge works, how the tool's work and have a knack of knowing what is the best material used for the item in creation. You can aid in a local blacksmith in exchange for materials, information, or weapons; and you can use the workshop to learn about the crafting techniques and weapons of that region.

Blacksmiths are very personable, but also must be firm. They must deal with lots of people trying to pull a fast one on them and therefore tend to be a bit gritty. It takes a while to warm up to them, but once won over, blacksmiths are loyal friends for life.
