You are a child of the Fey, you may have been born from one of the inhabitants of the Feywild, or you may have been adopted by one of them. Perhaps you were captured by mischiveous fairies as a child who wisked you away to the land of the fey, or you fell in with a troupe of Tuathans: gypsies of the feywild, gifted in song and magic, who wander fairy roads in lively caravans. Perhaps you are an eladrin elf, a native of the fey courts. One way or another you've now found yourself in the mortal realm. You might have the spirit of an adventurer, and left willingly to explore the worlds outside of the feywild, or perhaps you were outcast, or are on the run from a cruel and wicked enemy. Whatever your story, the land of the mortals pales in comparison to the wonders of the feywild, and you must now learn adapt.

Posted Aug 26, 2020I like this a lot! You clearly put a ton of thought into making this. I was making a changeling character (no, not the race), and was struggling to find something that fit, and this is just about perfect! The only thing that doesn't really jive is the proficiency in deception, since, in our iteration, words hold Power for the Fair Folk and thus they can't speak an outright lie. (This is why flaw 4 on the second flaw table works extremely well for my character.) If suggestions are welcome, I think proficiency in performance or stealth might be a more appropriate substitute. Then again, we all have different ideas of what D&D fey are like, so I totally understand if you take my thoughts with a grain of salt!
(And, just so that there's no confusion, this is my husband's account. He just lets me make characters on here if the printer's on the fritz. So please direct your ire at me if I spoke out of turn.)
Anyway, thank you so much for sharing this! Take care, and have a lovely day!
