You were a member of a trading caravan. You grew up on the road, learning a trade you could peddle to the people your caravan traded with along the route. Maybe you worked as a guard or an outrider, maybe you helped care for the Torques or the other people in the caravan. You're comfortable on the road, never staying in one place too long. You need to decide if you're a member of the main family, or if you're an honorary family member.
With your family emblem, you're identified as part of the extended family of the caravan you came from, and therefor a friend of the entire Trader Family. You can seek aid from a caravan with better success, or barter with them without the usual suspicion. The caravans will often let you travel with them for safety or company, trade information freely with you, or warn you of dangers on the road ahead.
Suggested Characteristics
They are a very close-knit culture, despite their connections to so many different peoples. They are slow to trust, and suspicious of outsiders, although they are extremely friendly in business dealings. Once the business is over with, they want people to move on. They do believe in keeping the roads safe, however, so they are willing to give aid to travelers in that regard, although they discourage people from traveling with them.
