You have spent your life in the service of a temple, university or library exploring a particular field of study. You act as scholar and researcher, teaching and analyzing the materials that find their way into your office.
Choose a subject or field of study, and work with your DM to detail the nature of your academic service. Were you an honor student recently completing his studies, raised from childhood to assist the scholars in their research? Or were you a traveling lecturer who suddenly experienced a call to serve your university in a different way? Perhaps you were the leader of a small cult worshiping a god of secrets, mysteries or knowledge? Everyone gains something different from the education they have received.
