It never made a difference if those inside were indeed violent criminals or wrongfully convicted people such as you, who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Everyone were offered only suffering and oblivion in the same manner.

One day, either by chance or favor, it was bestowed upon you a blessing that took the form of an unexpected and wise company. Was it an old drow expecting to see their riches once again? An artful halfling who sung everyday in order to alleviate pain? A tiefling sworn on revenge for being tortured? Either way, they had much to teach you and little to live. With their demise and all hopes of an escape vanishing, their coffin acted as your vehicle to the outer side. Thrown at sea, you managed to break your confinement and see the world once more.
