Wronged Prisoner Image

You have spent several years locked inside a treacherous prison amidst the sea, isolated from society and your former life. It never made a difference if those inside were indeed violent criminals or wrongfully convicted people such as you, who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Everyone were offered only suffering and oblivion in the same manner.

One day, either by chance or favor, it was bestowed upon you a blessing that took the form of an unexpected and wise company. Was it an old drow expecting to see their riches once again? An artful halfling who sung everyday in order to alleviate pain? A tiefling sworn on revenge for being tortured? Either way, they had much to teach you and little to live. With their demise and all hopes of an escape vanishing, their coffin acted as your vehicle to the outer side. Thrown at sea, you managed to break your confinement and see the world once more. Will you seek revenge on those that wronged you? Perhaps fight to retain your former life? Freedom is yours.

Feature: Cold Floor

While imprisoned, you grew accustomed with the harsh nature of your enviroment and the psychological trauma that comes with it. You have an inverted sense of comfort: while long resting on cozy and soft surfaces won't make you feel totally refreshed, doing so on uncomfortable ones, such as a ship's wooden floor or a rocky dungeon, will allow you to roll with advantage on a Constitution saving throw. You must finish a long rest on an uncomfortable surface before you can use this feature again.

Suggested Characteristics

Prisoners are shaped by the difficult times they spent isolated from society. In the case of someone wrongfully subjected to this trauma, they tend to nurture either a burning desire to retain their former lives or the will to get payback on those who betrayed them.
