Magic in this world comes from the lineage of Dragons. All the Dragons of the world were killed by Lords to end the Age of Ancients and start the Age of Fire.
Your ability to perform must be learned, honed, and refined, though, for you cannot use this ability without speaking the language of the dragons. The Path of the Dragon speaks to your pilgrimage to discover everything you can about the history of the Dragons and to discover the ancient sites still standing so that you may awaken greater power within yourself.
You hail from the Magic School in Vinheim, and traveled to Lordran as it was the site of many historical battles between the Lords and the Ancient Dragons.

When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.

Those who walk the Path of the Dragon are defined by their extensive studies, and their characteristics reflect this life of study. Devoted to scholarly pursuits, a wizard values knowledge highly—sometimes in its own right, sometimes as a means toward other ideals.
